Justice report finds systematic discrimination against African Americans in Ferguson

Obviously it took time as they had to arrest him to get him out of the way. The cops are focusing on what will actually help as opposed to the emotional issues.

This is so full of absolute bullshit that you just have to be pulling our legs now.

Really, Loren? Really!?

I'm just floored that you are defending leaving a person to bleed alone on the pavement and driving away the only person who cares to offer comfort. I am fucking floored. Wow.

Think about what you are defending. Holy shit, really think about this.

Comfort won't stop her bleeding. EMTs will.

!) We aren't sure the guy wasn't also trying to stop the bleeding,
2) the EMTs weren't there, so he wasn't in their way, and
3) providing comfort is better than leaving an injured person all alone while you wait for EMTs to arrive.

Do you want her comforted and dead or distraught and alive?

Those were not the options, so your question is ridiculous (as in: deserving of ridicule).

She should have been tended by both cops and boyfriend until the EMTs arrived. If that wasn't possible then she should have been tended by her boyfriend until the EMTs arrived, since she would be better comforted by a loved one rather than a stranger. If that wasn't possible, she should have been tended by the cops until the EMTs arrived, since leaving here there to bleed without aid was absolutely the wrong thing to do.

The police are very used to emotionally involved civilians being a problem at disaster scenes, they are trained to get them out of there.
They are trained to alleviate the stress and anxiety that injured people and their loved ones are experiencing by acting in a calm, professional, and caring manner, not generate more of it by being assholes.

I don't have a problem with such people getting arrested. Being poor isn't an excuse for being a criminal.

This attitude - coming from you - shouldn't still shock me, but it does.

Per the DoJ report, Ferguson is CREATING "criminals" - issuing many, mostly bogus, tickets within the same stop; and structuring the system in a way to essentially force the poor to be unable to pay off the bogus tickets.

Yes, but they're doing this to mere plebeians, not the wealthy elites, so it's OK if the government does things like this to citizens. We can completely trust government in this case, and anyone who opposes what the government is doing is someone who hates our freedom.

If you can't trust the government when they issue bogus tickets and randomly shoot unarmed citizens, then when can you trust the government? Honestly, if you believed in freedom instead of statist slavery, you wouldn't make such stupid arguments. [/conservolibertarian]

And they don't know exactly when the EMTs will get there--and they want the scene clear for when they do get there. If he's not providing aid then he should be out of the way first so no time is wasted.
You are so full of shit, Loren.

Is the any action so depraved that you won't defend it as long as it is done by a cop against a black man?

Even IF you had a valid point, and you don't, the fact still remains that the COP should have been providing first aid to the injured woman.
You are over-reacting. Don't you recall the two Cleveland cops who patiently waited for the EMTs while 12 year old Tamir Rice lay bleeding on the ground? Obviously, this is part of police training.

Actually, they were busy tackling and hand-cuffing the dying boy's sister as she tried to go to his aid instead of taking care of the child they shot...

It looks like you have a very good point.
