# "Line numbers" finding a number for any symbol

edit: the title is incorrect - it is only about line-based 2D graphical symbols...

Hi I was wondering if anyone has heard of this before.... (not from me)

I think just about any line-based 2D graphical symbol can have the "line number" determined...

e.g.

The following symbols involve the following numbers based on how many lines are involved:

3, 4, 2, 1...

Perhaps a 0 could be represented using a dot (0 lines) - the problem with that is that any number of dots would still be a 0.

The infinity symbol is a 1, a cross is a 2 (duality) but I'm not sure about the yin-yang symbol (depends if the inner "S" is joined to the outer circle). The pentagram is 5 and David's star is 6. On a related note, I was told that a 5 pointed star is a feminine star while the 6 pointed star is masculine.

This "heartagram" is a 3.

Finding a system is easy . . .

It gets difficult with larger numbers . . .

In addition to the Circle, Cross, Triangle, Square, Star (1 2 3 4 5 lines) I've made the "5 line number energies":

I think they're way better that the 4 elements...

Well it looks like Arabic-Indic numerals originally had a dot for zero:

Also the Arabic-Indic 1, 2, 3 have 1, 2 and 3 lines...

I've significantly revised the website The LineNum Source with a set of Christian LineNum symbols:

People might be surprised to learn that I am an extremely liberal Christian yet I think Jewish mysticism is complete nonsense.

Well their beliefs about Satan are interesting

but I see no truth in their Tree of Life symbol.

See my https://linenum.com site.

Recently I watched the new Ghostbusters movie and in the credits it showed words on skyscrapers - including "X O" (kiss and hug). Then I realised that Circle and Cross is Hugs and Kisses - also Noughts and Crosses...
https://linenum.com/
Then at the start of the original Ghostbusters movie I saw the Zener cards:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zener_cards
They are:
yellow circle: 1 line
red cross/plus: 2 lines
blue wavy lines: 3 lines
black square: 4 lines
and a green star: 10 lines..... unless it is a non-open star.... then it would have 5 lines.
Note that I didn't rearrange any of those sequences including noughts/crosses, hugs/kisses, and the 5 shapes in Zener cards...
Also I was thinking that the ghostbusters symbol involved a red 2 line element (the circle and line) and a white "spirit" energy part (the ghost) Yes that is a bit of a stretch but thought it was interesting.

How many lines?

I came across this (which has been copied/recreated many times)

and I tried to come up with my own ideas. So the LineNum shapes circle, cross, triangle, and square correspond to O, X, A, and O.... so I used a scrabble tool like this:
https://wordfinder.yourdictionary.com/unscramble/oxao___

SOAPBOX is a match... same with AXOLOTL and OXYMORA

anyway the relevant matches included:
MAX COOL, MAX FOOL, MAX NOOB, 100% MAX and MATRIX NOOB....

So this involves a gamer who is new to the game of life...

This is the only other example I've seen where the circle, cross, triangle, square symbols are used to make words:

They used some of the symbols multiple times.... but they didn't use X so they just added at the end. (though it kind of makes sense based on the meaning of "X")

Their E's are a bit problematic.

Anyway it gave me the idea of using the triangle as a V...

So I did an anagram search for:

OXVO??

https://wordfinder.yourdictionary.com/unscramble/oxvo__/

I found VOXPOP

or:
VOX
POP

noun INFORMAL BRITISH
noun: voxpop
popular opinion as represented by informal comments from members of the public, especially when broadcast or published.
"paragraphs of vox pop"

edit:

Oops there's already "vox pop games"
I guess it might make sense as a T-shirt...

"LineNum" has a featured snippet on Google now, which is pretty cool. If it was up to me I would have used different text though it shows that LineNum shapes have ancient origins...

I got impossible versions of the first 4 shapes made... the cross is original and took a few versions to look ok....

I've got it saying "200% MAX" because it is impossible...

There are three main occupations in "Squid Game"

The squid game:

The "masculine triangle" is also known as the blade so it suits soldiers. The "feminine triangle" (upside-down) is known as the chalice.....

Using all 5 of the LineNum shapes....
My Christian sister was against the pentagram so I made it bulge but then she said it didn't really look like an "A".....

Another "legend" for the 5 basic shapes:

In the second video he pushed his glasses up revealing another tattoo.... it was a cross.... so I know of two of his tattoos and both are linenum related....

I've been rewatching "The Fifth Element" movie.... it begins with the four classical elements -

On a belt buckle:

And stones that are in a case:

I'd guess that these are showing water (lower and slightly wavy), fire (upper in the belt buckle, lower in the stones), air (upper), and earth (lower and straight)

In that movie each element takes 5 lines to draw.... in the LineNum energies there are only 1 to 5 lines and corresponding "energies":

Here is an explanation of the updated Christian based symbols - including using white for spirit energy instead of magenta.... (note while I believe in an intelligent force as part of a possible simulation I believe most of the Bible isn't historical)

BTW when you combine the energy colors - or even just yellow and cyan - or red and cyan - you get the spirit color - which is now white.....

Like the Fifth Element movie, the fifth "element" is special.... in the LineNum basic shapes it is a pentagram....

In the Fifth Element here are the colors:

Air - yellow
Earth - green (they activate it with some sand - but "earth" doesn't explain green algae)
Water - blue
Fire - red
The fifth element - white

About the colors for the LineNum energies -

I've used pure yellow, pure red, pure green and then there is pure cyan/aqua (green mixed with blue). The official LineNum site now calls it "aqua" instead of "blue".... "aqua" is more closely related to water - it is the Latin word for it.

Here is a comparison of pure cyan vs pure blue:

cyan blue

I think a tropical ocean is much closer to pure cyan than pure blue.

The sky is also often closer to pure cyan than pure blue.

Here is a comparison of lighter cyan vs lighter pure blue:

An advantage of cyan is that it includes green so that if you add red or yellow (red with green) then you can make white.

Note that in Genesis 1 it talks about the waters above vs the waters below - and both the sky and the waters below are bluish/cyan.

More about The Fifth Element movie from post #22....

Though the stones have 5 lines in each element, the belt buckle and the apron/vest of the priest involves 6 lines....

The priest's clothing would involve air at the top, then fire, then water, then earth.

BTW the professor calls it "air" while Leeloo and Korben call it "wind".
