An 8th grade student's choice to wear a shirt with the word "Feminist" on the front, was edited out in a final school picture. The student wore the shirt in the front row of the traditional class photo.

An unintended controversy did arise following the act of doctoring the shirt, but the unintended controversies spoken of was any that may have have been spawned by the message displayed on the shirt.
