That said, the rape and incest exceptions are logically ridiculous. Either the fetus is considered a human person, in which case killing them should not be contingent of their parentage and circumstances of conception or they are not considered a human person, in which case also killing it should not be contingent on its parentage and circumstances of conception.

Women of means will always have a way of ending a pregnancy, in relative safety. They always have, even before Roe v Wade. It's much safer now, where it is legal. Where it isn't legal, it is still present, just very unsafe. As abortion restrictions increase, so will the expense, so will the risks. Wealthy women will still be ok. Poor women will once again bear the brunt of the punishment for having sex. Even if that 'sex' was rape. Just as they will be forced to deal with the consequences of bearing a child with serious medical needs, or even fatal conditions. They will be forced to continue a pregnancy even if it is potentially or certainly harmful to their own health, as sometimes happens. Even if it means they lose their jobs (which happens), their homes, their chance at education. Even if they cannot care for the child. Even if they are themselves seriously ill. Even if bearing a child will create serious hardships on children they are already raising.

Ya, they made a bunch of adminstrative hurdles which nobody could manage, so all the potential providers got shut down. That means it's technically "available", if by "available" you mean "there is nobody available to do this". It's like how voter id laws give a simple requirement to get voter ids but then the offices to fill those requirements are only open in minority areas every third Tuesday from 8-11 am.

It's almost as if they learned this tactic from the gun control crowd.

There's a lesson here. If you really honestly believe in imposing your beliefs on others, don't be surprised when they believe doing the same to you is acceptable. I'm pro-choice on everything, unlike the hypocrites on both sides of both issues.

Ya, if you're going to ban or limit acces to guns, you should do it directly and not try and sidle your way around the law. The same goes for abortions. These weak assed games are unacceptable practice.

The question is whether it can be undone. There is obviously vast discontent with the result, but it seems a bit unfocussed. Our own politics have followed a very different road to essentially the same footling destination, though here we are more incline to vote on Mr Milliband's teeth, and whether a Labour government would be dependent on Scottish Nationalist votes if denied a majority,
