This is kind of a mind blower. This is not to say that I am Alex Jones level of pro-gun rights.
Anyway, any opinions on this?
What makes that misguided?

There's nothing misguided about that?
Fortunately those who aren't insane on the topic of firearms are not only not afraid of them but know correct usage and storage, and also know to teach their own kids correct usage and storage.
Therefore those who aren't insane also aren't ruled by fear and therefore don't see the need to encourage kids to commit the crime that the kid in the video did.
The gun nuts who hate and fear anything even resembling a gun would encourage children to report their parents for having guns. There's nothing misguided about that?
And you think the video wants the kids to turn their guns in to a long dead king?
