Paris Orly airport shooting: Attacker was 'radicalised Muslim' man known to French intelligence services
Independent said:
A "radicalised Muslim" known to security services has been shot dead after attempting to steal a soldier's gun at Paris Orly Airport.
The attacker, later identified as Ziyed B, shot at police officers manning a checkpoint in northern Paris with an "air pistol" before launching the airport attack, the French interior minister said. [...]
The man attempted to steal a Famas assault rifle from a female soldier on a counter-terror patrol before being killed, Mr Le Roux said, adding that he "did not succeed".
Jean-Yves Le Drian, the French defence minister, said the air force member was thrown to the ground during the assault, adding: "The two other airmen in the patrol opened fire to protect their comrade and protect nearby members of the public.
During a visit to the airport, Bruno Le Roux said one officer was shot during the routine check and was undergoing hospital treatment for injuries to his face.
Between the two attacks, he also carjacked a Citroen Picasso.

The jihadi was "known to intelligence services" and had an extensive criminal history, so why wasn't he deported by now? Why wait until he actually tries to kill people before anything is done?
Also, where was Zayed B. from? Was he a Nafri, Somali, Syrian, Afghan, Pakistani?

This comes only a month after a machete-wielding Egyptian Muslim attacked a soldier at the Louvre Museum in Paris. Cultural enrichment indeed.

In any case, the multiculuralism and the policy of allowing mass Muslim migration has been proven to be a failure.
Tragically, even Angela Merkel knew this before she went crazy and allowed a million Muslims to come into Germany in 2015 alone.
Merkel says German multicultural society has failed

Ah, so once again, you are holding up an anecdote and declaring that we should judge all Muslims by this.

So now that you admit that this is the argument you make, can we also judge all Christians the same way using the same standards?

Because evangelicals in Africa have been killing children for "witchcraft." The death toll is estimated at around a thousand, and most of those children were killed with fire or acid. Do you agree that murdering a thousand concern with fire or acid is immoral, or have the Christians corrupted your morals? Do you agree that all Christians should be condemned for this?

Or does this kind of  hasty generalization fallacy supply to Muslims, but not Christians? Because if that is the case, then you are committing a  special pleading fallacy.

So before this mass migration of Muslims to western Europe, was it customary for French airports to be guarded by soldiers with assault weapons?

Jumping to conclusions (something not new for the OP poster) before the relevant facts have either been ascertained and/or confirmed, and generalizing from an anecdote to a general policy is an example of the failure of education to inculcate critical thinking skills.

Now, more information is coming in. The attacker was a Frenchman (source: https://www.yahoo.com/news/paris-airport-attacker-know-231242033.html) - Ziyed Ben Belgacem - with a known criminal convictions for armed robbery (2001) and drug dealing (2009). Note the dates - he was in France long before the current wave of refugees. He was suspected of being radicalized while in prison, but a search in 2015 of his home turned up no evidence.

So, let's see what the next batch of information about this reveals.

Remember LD: If it's a muslim or a thug, jump to conclusions and make assumptions. If it's an American police officer, give them every benefit of the doubt you can humanly afford.

It was in 2006 when I passed through ORLY en route to Bourdeaux for world champs. That was before the current wave of immigration.

Then they harassed the shit out of our flight back to the states. I went through three check points and had to stand at a podium in the gate area and answer questions about my passport.

My own recollections before 9/11 is that you would not be aware there was security other than the customs people. The vast majority of Muslims are okay but due to the removal of borders within the EU and very slack checks of those coming in e.g. those who came Italy refused to give finger prints or any form of ID.
The Italians weren't bothered as they let them travel to Germany.

So the French should not have any security checks? I did have one awkward official when I was travelling to China (just a few days after 9.11). He said that I should not go to China without a return ticket. I said to him, "Why would I want to come back here." He just let me go through and spoke to the next person.

There is a lack of security and there should be border checks within the EU. The EU is basically inhibited by its own rules. The US does not yet have such a concentration of people to the same rate as the UK. Then there will be a minute amount of people noticable as in Europe that would get involved in terrorist activities.

The ISIS goal is to capture Rome (per its handbook, the Black Flags of Rome) by first forming alliances with left wing and civil rights groups.

However in some cases the person could be a madman on the rampage.

Ah, so once again, you are holding up an anecdote and declaring that we should judge all Muslims by this.
No, I am not. I have never said that we should judge all Muslims by acts of individuals. At the same time, we must admit that there is a unique threat of extremism coming from Islam.
We also should be selective as to who is allowed to immigrate into Western countries. Right now Europe is taking in everybody who shows up anywhere in the general vicinity of Europe, no questions asked. That is obviously a stupid strategy.

And besides, this shit is happening over and over again. It's a pattern, not an anecdote.

So now that you admit that this is the argument you make, can we also judge all Christians the same way using the same standards?
Are you still beating your wife?

No, but I do think that these witch-hunting Evangelcals should not be allowed to immigrate into Europe or the West. Which means that, again, migrants should be vetted.

The danger of mass migration of those with incompatible cultures is not limited to Islam, but it is currently most acute with Islamists.

Or does this kind of  hasty generalization fallacy supply to Muslims, but not Christians? Because if that is the case, then you are committing a  special pleading fallacy.
As I have explained, it is neither.

now you are doing it again... you should have written "from some Islamic groups"

No. He asked why that one guy was not deported. Not that I agree with Derec but your characterisation of what Derec said is stupid. It would be more helpful to discuss what is said rationally than make stupid mis characterisations
