Are there any Governors, Representitives, Senators, Mayors or other similar people that you find attractive?

Some of you know me and my politics but I have always found Alexandra Ocasio Cortez to be a beautiful girl. Because she "checks all the boxes" physically of women I like, ethnic, dark skin, dark hair, brown eyes, nice body. AOC has it going on. Too young for me though.

Nikki Haley. About the same thing as AOC except she is closer to my age. My only problem with Haley is that she doesnt seem to smile a lot, when she does, she is gorgeous (to me). But I wonder if she couldnt benefit from smoking a nice joint, having a nice drink and take a long nice soak in the hot tub and then have someone rub her feet.

Gretchen Whitmer. Another attractive woman I would never vote for. Just has this middle age "mommy" thing going on. Her Republican challenger Tudor Whatshername was also beautiful, with me thinking, is Michigan a land of beautiful women. I always think of women from that part of America to have no makeup, wear huge glasses and wear tights to Walmart. Dunno.

Tulsi Gabbard. Her I think is sexy as hell. She could do something about the Lily Munster hair however.

Lauren Boebart. Beautiful.

Not an elected official but someone in the beltway of politics, Huma Abedin. I cannot believe that her ex-husband, that weird Screech looking nerd of a man named Weiner would cheat on Huma. But I dont know Huma, and maybe she is a bitch. Dunno.

I like women so all my choices are such, so it would be interesting of those who like men, your choice.

I never understood why Sarah Palin was called super-attractive. I'd find her plain even if I liked her character and political views.

Since it's just fantasy anyway, I can afford to play very "hard-to-get" when contemplating the pulchritude of celebrities. There is only one female political figure who seems especially attractive to me: Michelle Obama. (Someone once said in response to this "Oh, so you like chubby." Nope, overweight turns me off. But there is a full-figure a few inches shy of overweight which is perfection!)

Boebert made a passable prostitute. Not much of a Congress woman though.

I'm afraid some Lefties imitate the Haters and Traitors in spreading lies.

The allegations quickly circulated in anti-Trump “Resistance” communities online. Occupy Democrats, a popular liberal Twitter account, conceded that it wasn’t clear whether the allegations were accurate. But it urged its nearly 400,000 Twitter followers to retweet the claims “IF YOU THINK THAT IT SOUNDS TRUE” anyway. Boebert’s name trended on Twitter.

Aw, dont be funny. I had no idea this would cause so much animosity.
It probably would have gotten a very different response in a humor subforum.

It still probably wouldn't have gotten much response from me. Good looks aren't such an advantage for male politicians. Some, but not as much as for females.

How the fuck did 15 year olds find this forum? Shouldn't they be on Tik Tok or something?
Actually sbg is an old-timer here... from way back. As this isn't actually about politics, ponder if it belongs more in MD or M&PC.

I find that very difficult to believe, but if it is true, you should consider professional help in building some empathy and understanding of human nature.

It's not easy, but it's very much worthwhile.

Is this a joke? Were living in the 21st century right?

Yes! Every time I see Mitch McConnell I just want to swoon.

Ohio don’t play that game. Our governor looks like something found in the dumpster behind Planned Parenthood.

I seriously doubt the other turtles would agree with you. At least that's what a few of the shit eating turtles who hang out in my yard have told me. His shit isn't worthy of their appetites. This thread is so stupid, I thought I'd add some more to it.

That is definitely not true. Good looks are a huge advantage for male politicians as well. Without his looks, Obama would hardly have become a serious candidate in 2008 with his lack of experience at the time. And looks are the only reason β was even a thing.
As a counterpoint, the first major party female presidential candidate wasn't a looker for sure.

Same here, except for my own rep (he is also afraid Guam could capsize. Seriously). But mostly because almost all are safe districts and thus a snoozefest.

Oh, at least some people definitely take appearances onto account when voting. Alas.
Not just 'some' people. The positive effect of good looks on people's evaluations is a well known psychological phenomenon, and the point is that it's an unconscious bias.
Conscious or unconscious, it is more politically relevant than one might hope to ask such questions about candidates. Tall men, beautiful women, never mind policy.

I'm reluctant to post in this thread, because it seems like bad taste. But I must say that I like Lauren Boebert's looks, along with AOC's.. Although MTG is easily one of the most repellant people in US politics, at least to me, she looks OK to me.

Judging my favorite commentators by looks, I like Ana Kasparian, Francesca Fiorentini, Emma Vigeland, Adrienne Lawrence, and others. Though I must say that Ana Kasparian seems more analytical than her fellow commentator Cenk Uygur.

Madison Cawthorn is so ridiculously beautiful I feel like doing penance for how ugly I am in comparison.

Lord no. You can keep your Ken doll types. But if Chasten Buttigieg ever comes back on the market... Cute, witty, and regularly embarasses Tucker Carlson. What more could you want?

I find Lauren Boebert quite attractive. The glasses add to the attractiveness to me. But I know she's dumber than a mudflap (took her four tries to pass the GED) and her heart is as black as they come.

It's a superficial thread and would probably be better in E.

Someone whose future self, coming back to warn his past self in a Twilight Zone episode, couldn't be plausibly played by Mitch McConnell.

Kyrsten Sinema is another politician I find good-looking, even though I don't like her selling out.

I don't really agree re: Obama. I remember very well driving into work, with NPR on the radio and hearing an extremely well spoken, intelligent man and instantly becoming a fan. I had never heard of Obama and I'm not sure it registered on me that he is black. I honestly could not have cared what he looked like. To be fair, he was such a nice contrast to Bush II that I liked him even more. I remember thinking what a relief it was to hear someone smart speaking about national issues, for a change. This was before he was a candidate.

That said, I think that the Obamas are an attractive family and that in particular, Michelle has a sense of style that has served them both well. They are intelligent, well spoken and have great senses of humor--all of which helped them a great deal.

It's interesting to me that height is a good predictor of success in the political ring when it comes to POTUS. And also how much harsher the standards are for female attractiveness compared with male attractiveness.

Toni, physical features are the only things some low intelligent & ugly jive turkeys have for clinging. Females can effortlessly look better so they arbitrarily up the standards.

Effortlessly??????

I don’t know you IRL but I’m guessing your wife would either fall down laughing or whop you a good one. Or pull you into a big hug and kiss you. Three way toss up.

Can you imagine trying to have an intellectual conversation with her? It would be like talking to a pet rock.
