Nancy Benoit to go on $10 bill

Can someone explain to me why this is apparently a sore spot with so many people?

Does old currency ever expire? I think I have some $2 bills laying around, can I use those?

$2 bills are still legal tender and can be used to pay debts (both public and private). Their value, from a collectors point of view, is low. They have been widely circulated and are not rare. A $2 bill dated before the 1970's might be worth a few extra dollars if in excellent condition, though.

It has been explained already. It's a transparent politically correct pandering rather than a genuine effort to honor a particular person.

So we cannot honor a woman? And how is it pandering exactly?

Person A: We should put a woman on a bill.
Person B: That is a great idea. Who shall we honor?
Person A: I'm not certain, we should try to find the right one.
Person B: Panderer!!!

Given there are American woman worthy of honour they would also be a particular person in the same way as men worthy of honour are particular persons.

What makes someone "worthy of the honor"?

I had to google her, very weird choice to me.
Assuming that we are limited to women related to politics, Rosa Parks anyone?

OK, I looked the link, it does not seem to mention Nancy Benoit, why this thread?
I suppose the reference is a bit too vague. The article said Woman would be on $10 bill. One of Benoit's personas was as "Woman".

If this was pandering to feminism, wouldn't they have chosen Lorena Bobbitt?
I nominate the girl who carried the mattress, just so it'd piss Derec off so much that he'd refuse to use cash anymore.

He would be compelled to jerk off all over it.
