I don't usually watch all the games, but this year did and they have all been awful till today. Dallas GB tied with 2 minutes to go. Finally! Nice play by Prescott for the 2 points.

Finally, an exciting game. Prescott played well, especially for a rookie in his first playoff game, but Rodgers is a freak.

Watched my first non-super bowl NFL game in years on Saturday. Turns out the game is much more enjoyable to watch when it's not the Merica' show.

I don't know much about the game, but I learned that the Falcons have a good offense, and that they proved it playing the Seahawks.

Falcon's have a great offense, but their defense is way too leaky.

The Pats are in the run for it, again. Possible Super Bowl rematch from the the late 90's.

And can someone explain why trying to pull a player off on a pile is the same yardage penalty as aiming to hit a defenseless player head first?

Similar to the Brady's story. Hint to Dallas, go with the new guy. (of course Bledsoe did get Pats to the Super Bowl)

Living near Pittsburgh makes me a Steeler fan. The Pats will probably take the game in Foxboro next weekend but it was still fun.

I think Steelers are the better team and can outscore the Pats. Ben didn't have a great game against the Chiefs, and Ben deciding to throw (an interception) rather than give it to Bell on 1st and goal at the 5 was Seahawks level stupid.
But Pats struggled for a while against Houston, and pulled away because Osweiler sucks and threw 3 bonehead interceptions in the second half.

Given its at Foxboro and their head-to-head history, I give the edge to Pats, but I like the Steelers if they don't turn it over and force the Pats to score all their points with offensive drives.

Glad the Chiefs didn't advance because their very weak schedule made their record better than they really are, and even if they made it close with the Pats Reid would have blown it with his mindbogglingly bad clock management.
The 4 teams playing the best since November are left. Should be good exciting games.

The game is long done, but does anyone here have an informed opinion on the holding call that brought back the very long punt return of the Seahawks against the Falcons?

Fox has excellent announcers, but their video crew can really suck. There was only one angle on the hold and from far away. It looked almost like the offensive player flopped.

looking for nfl holding flops I found something different but funny:

Clay Matthews is a bit dirty, but he is really good.

I think it is a stretch to say the Steelers are the better team. The Patriots handled one of the best defenses in the NFL pretty well. The Steelers will be tough, but they are depleted at this point. Patriots don't get much credit for their defense, but no team gave up fewer points than the Patriots. I expect a good game, but the Patriots have many more weapons to work with. If the Steelers don't have the running game they had last week and we know Big Ben is not 100% or even 67%, it'll be a tall order for them to beat New England.

What was it, 9 AFC titles between the two teams over the last 15 years?

Atlanta v Green Bay is harder to call. Atlanta is looking to have a home field Super Bowl, but Green Bay are established. While Atlanta has a high power offense, Green Bay has a better playoff history with their squad. I'd take Rodgers. Time will tell.

If it is the play I'm thinking of, I thought it was an obvious hold. Holding penalties and kick returns go hand in hand.

Hoping Green Bay can prevail. I think they have the better chance against New England - don't need to see the Patsies win yet another Superbowl. And I don't see the Steelers taking them down, though I'll be rooting hard for them. As a Colorado resident of 40+ years I usually root for the AFC team in the Superbowl, but if it's NE vs Green Bay, I'm all about the Packers; they seem to have a lot of magic going for them after a very rough start to the season.

Sorry. but this is a Steelers year. They cannot be stopped on offence. The game will probably come down to who has the ball last...lol

Professional football needs a name for that particular stupid play, when you have a top line running back but instead decide to throw a pass from the 2 yard line. I think we should call it a Pete Carrol.

I don't like the Steelers chances but any team can win. They need to make sure the balls are properly inflated and that New England isn't cheating in some new unforeseen way.
