My former congressman Hank "Guam's gonna capsize" Johnson wants ICE to release a felonious illegal who goes by the street name "21 Savage" but whose real name is "She'yaa Bin Abraham-Joseph".
21 Savage's birth certificate says he was born in London borough
Not following the rap game, but apparently Shaya bin Laden-Joseph, or whatever his real name is, built his whole persona on being a Grady baby, when he is really an NHS baby.
Hank Johnson had this to say:
CNN said:
In a letter to ICE, Rep. Hank Johnson, D-Georgia, described the rapper as a "remarkable young man ... (who) spends his time giving back to the community."
Johnson said 21 is a prime candidate for bond based on him being a valuable member of the community and the sole breadwinner for his siblings and children.
"I believe that it would be a serious hardship to She'yaa's family and a loss for our community if he is not allowed bail so that he can be released from prison," he said.
What utter BS! How is he a "valuable member of the community"? He is a felon and rapping doesn't bring anything "valuable to the community" anyway. Wannabe rappers are a dime a dozen in Atlanta, one can replace him and nobody could even tell the difference.

Also, bin Savage applied for a visa for "victims of crime" because he was shot. Note that he was shot during a drug deal gone bad, not exactly what the U visa was meant for.

Deport him and let his ass be Theresa May's problem!

Ya, sounds like the kind of person who should be kicked out of the country. I don't see what the big deal is with ICE's actions here.

He had just appeared on the Tonight Show (I think that was the show) a few days before his arrest and did a rap with some lines that were critical of ICE. It looks like he was intentionally targeted.

So? If a wanted drug dealer goes and starts yelling at cops on the vice squad so they come over and arrest him, does that make the arrest somehow less valid?

If you're a criminal and you start taunting the people who's job it is to arrest you, it just means that you're an idiot criminal.

Especially when you hang out with someone wanted for murder, and that is how you get arrested.
