Christian Pastor Steven Anderson spent part of his sermon yesterday telling his congregation that, while he doesn’t condone the actions of the Paris attackers, the concertgoers at the Bataclan theater who were there to listen to the band Eagles of Death Metal sorta had it coming: “When you go to a concert of death metal, somebody might get killed! You know, you’re worshiping death, and then, all of a sudden, people start dying!… Well, you love death so much, you bought the ticket, you love worshiping Satan! Well, let’s have some of Satan’s religion come in and shoot you! I mean, that’s what these people should think about before they go into such a wicked concert.”

You know, you’re worshiping death, and then, all of a sudden, people start dying!…
Woshiping death?
Tell me again what's accepted as a the most common symbol of Christainity?

Is it the rock that covered his tomb, rolled back to symbolize eternal life?
Is it the Star over his manger pointing out the zodiac sign of 'chosen of god?'
Is it a basket of fish and bread revealing the unending bounty of his 'loaves and seafood' miracle?

Uhm...uhm...I know... a Great White Handkerchief.

Go listen to the band. They're not a death metal band. They're a kind of alt-hipster thing that uses guitar riffs that carry the same tone as Joe Walsh. They're a lot close to the 90s band President of the United States than Cannibal Corpse .

Then compare to:

Bottom line: people are willfully ignorant and will use whatever they can to exploit their own special brand of horse shit.

That is funny...didn't know the group...a 90's Walsh...yep.

Though it sort of doesn't matter, all rock is probably evil to the preacher dweeb...Good thing Marilyn Manson was touring France ;)

As I understand it, EODM got their name when someone had them listen to a death metal song by a band called Vader. One of them commented that it sounded like the Eagles of death metal, referring to the country-rock band the Eagles. They thought it was a cool phrase and named themselves that.

I do not believe in hell, but because of people like the good reverend, I have started digging one in my backyard.

You may want to double check your municipal zoning codes before you do that. Having a bottomless pit of fire and torment on your property without a proper permit may have you end up on the receiving end of a really snitty letter from the local Homeowners Association.

Once again, conservatives have proved that the victims had it coming.

Therefore, we should not blame Islam for this. The victims all deserved to die. QEDuh.

*sigh*
