So what? OMG teh fool we elected was accidentally right about someting!!!111!1

Only technically. It didn't come to me. Did it come to you?
It isn't "coming" to anyone I know any time real soon outside of medical personnel.
The meaning conveyed by Trump was an intended lie as always. That it could be literally true is just incidental.
The people he was trying to dupe were given to understand that they might get vaccinated by year-end ... like, in the next 2 weeks. They're not.

I think they were being too critical but also people are quote-mining the critics. The doctor went on to say a vaccine could be ready in 2 months (stated in April/May) if we forgo testing. His point was that testing the right and complete way takes time. And this was all in the context of doing a complete reopen and so how much would be manufactured. If you look where we are with vaccine timeline, it's not terrible but not actually complete:
  • Kids are not tested in the trials. We can't reopen schools without kids getting vaccinated. Maybe? We need 67% of population to have vaccine to have so-called herd immunity. How can this work if 55% of adults are willing to get it but children can't get vaccine? This is a phased release, partial readiness. The testing is incomplete. Not ready.
  • The amount of vaccine manufactured is also not terrible, but also not enough. There is not enough available to give people two doses. They also missed a manufacturing milestone, even considering the phased release. So that is only partially ready, too.

So when will Pfizer and Moderna complete testing in children, have FDA approve the children trial results, and manufacture enough doses so we can say it's "ready?"

Just shows both of them being politicians. Pete stepped down from the race at the time he was told and has been rewarded. He does seem to be an intellectually very sharp guy though.

Nope. The wrong people are going to be offended. The really wrong people are going to do "whataboutism". The really REALLY wrong people are going to point at darckies and say "See! They do it it as well!"

I know I am right. And fuck me sideways I'm tired of being an arsehole.

Let's have the usual suspects chime in:

Any guesses what Melania is trying to catch?

It can't be blood. That giant turnip isn't bleeding.

Donations maybe?

Trump spunk for the New Spawning. You can't see it, but there's a four centimeter chub under that flag. Turns out, he gets off on all suffering.

$4200 is too much. The artist uses foreshortened perspective to the detriment of his theme. No way could anyone see the outline of the real Trump's ribcage. And I guarantee you he has stage 4 man boobs -- as Kramer said of Frank Costanza, "Real hooters!" The real Trump's pot belly would be sagging over that flag thong like a jumbo mixing bowl of dough. Trump hasn't seen his navel for decades. It's just a damp memory with a funky old m&m lost in it. Also, too much musculature on the upper arms and calves. You don't get buff from tweeting. You get skinny old man arms with loose skin wobbling back and forth when you raise your arms to get applause or to get crucified.

Did any others get stuck with Quora Digest delivered to your Spam folder? I imagine some newsletters and message-boards are even stupider than Quora, but the following gem hit my funny-bone:

Quora Digest said:
Is every political ideology deserving of respect?

Yes, all ideologies should have at least some respect… except centrism. Centrism is stupid.

Even fascism should have respect for the good things that it did (we must NEVER f... Read More »
Sorry, I didn't click 'Read More' to see what else Dr. Kingsley had to say. (I don't know how Quora works: Was this the "best" answer?)

Apology if I've defied the thread rules by not posting an image. (I could have taken a screen-shot of the Quora message, but then I'd've had to crop away the nude phot od Christina Hendricks.)

I could understand how nature could take a young body and twist it crooked over the years....but does it have to do that to our minds as well?

Like I've been saying, Nature's a douchebag.

Yes, existence exists and reality is real, but there is nothing forcing me to be happy about it.
