Here is a question. If right-wingers don't think Putin was behind the hacking, why is Putin's approval rating among right-wingers nearly quadrupled since July?

article said:
Back in July 2014 just 10 percent of Republicans held a favorable view of Putin, according to a poll conducted by the Economist and YouGov. By September of 2016, that number rose to 24 percent. And it's even higher today: 37 percent of Republicans view Putin favorably, the poll found in December.

Is there any other possible reason to explain this massive increase of support for Putin by the right-wing?

Clearly they must have unearthed Reagan's secret letters to his pen pal Gorby...

Republican voters favor politicians who have none of their interests at heart. Is it any surprise that they would also fawn over foreign leaders who intend nothing but harm to their country?

I can only assume that Republican voters base their beliefs on evidence , if they think he didn't hack.
As no evidence has been brought forward.

* I thought Bernie Sanders was the best candidate in the recent election, but I guess you guys are stuck with Trump

Trump will crush Putin like a cat on a lizard, and when he does, the Republican base will no longer fawn the foe in their fold.

Apparently you haven't spent a lot of time talking to Southern Republicans. I've had the misfortune of living in Texas most of my life. and I don't think any of the Republicans around me care about any kind of evidence. Their beliefs are unfortunately based on faith and Bible teachings and fear of Islamic terrorism.

I also thought Bernie Sanders was the best candidate because he wanted to make education free for everyone.

I have years ago but they were Cornelius Van Tillian born again believers, so their minds were darkened beyond hope.
But I assume republicans around the country have some variety

If onlt the Democrats had made use of his tremendous following among younger people

I think you base your conclusion of Putin hacking Clinton on republicans liking Putin.

Actually, I'm trying to figure out why Republican support of the King of Russia has nearly quadrupled since July. Is there some other reason that has nothing to do with the election?

I see, republicans apparently like Putin more than Obama :)
I think the answer is obvious - Putin hacked polling in US :)

Isn't it because Trump said he admires Putin?

Well, if you don't want to have an adult conversation, you could always just leave the thread.

That the 37% are amoral scumbags that put career and party first is the best bet. Though asking each of them that has changed their tune since July would have been nice. I'd like to hear their stammering, er, explanation.

So you think hacking unlikely?
OK, how about blaming on RT propaganda?
Look Vlad, Republican support of Putin was 10% in July 2016. It is now 5 months later and that number is 37%. The question is "Why the near quadrupling of Republican support for Putin?" It is a legitimate question. Enough with the red herring bs.

Don't call me Vlad. Polls are highly unreliable when it comes to Putin. They recently had a TV on-air poll in Germany and 80% were pro-Putin. Then another one where they were most were against.

Sorry Serge. So you are saying there is not a trend of Republican support for Putin and basing it on a German poll.

No, based on the apparent fact that Putin polls in the west are highly unreliable.
yeah, don't call me Serge.
Okay Igor, so you are saying that there is nothing to see here. The upward trend is nothing because you say the polling is volatile based on alleged German polls.

Anyone who can get the Democrats screaming about with their panties in a bunch is going to become more popular with republicans.
