It portrays white people as the problem regarding homicide when actual FBI crime data paints a very different picture (at least if you are smart enough to adjust for relative population sizes).
I beg to differ. It appears to me that it's not claiming white people are THE problem for all homicides. But by referring to 'stand my ground' it's specifying a certain group of homicides, and the way certain groups appear to believe they have a right to shoot other people, especially if the shooter is white and the thug is not.It portrays white people as the problem regarding homicide

As someone who once worked as a cartoonist I have no clear picture of what this cartoon portrays unless he has shot 2 people on the camels and that is speculative without a clear image of the bodies. It got published so it must have meant something to the Editor. While there are no sets of rules as to what to put in a cartoon it would be helpful if there were a little bit more of a punch line.
...i don't see where the cartoon could possibly be read as saying whites are the only problem in homicides.
Blacks commit 5 times as many homicides than whites. The fact that the cartoon focuses of whites "especially" is what makes it so racist.Maybe it's a statement that Americans (especially white American men) aren't all that wise if they're killing even themselves by supporting the "stand your ground" laws.
You do know SYG is a defense that is open to non-whites, right?Well, since the words STAND YOUR GROUND are actually mentioned and the word HOMICIDE isn't, I think the cartoon is about SYG and not blaming white people for homicide.
And that's not racist?I figure it means American white guys are so paranoid that they'd shoot their companions just for following too close.
It's more of a pun than parody and yes, I had noticed the pun. And no, puns do not magically make the cartoon non-racist.Timing of the cartoon adds some context. It's meant to come out around Christmas. The Three White Men is a play on The Three Wise Men. It's like a parody.
And why is "gun stuff" a white problem? It's a play on the shitstorm gun stuff (probably all of it) in the USA.
The problem with Jesus and the Bible is that you can find counterpoint for almost any point your opponent finds in it. For example, Jesus admonishes his disciples to be armed whey they go out into the world. So, picture people in modern times trying to be 3 Wise Men and one of them actually saying that. I think it's an appeal to Americans' sense of what their Christianity is supposed to mean as Jeebus would have taught it and what the Pope recently said about it. All the gun and xenophobic stuff going on is allegedly counter to that.
Not about guns per se, since they weren't invented yet, but about personal armaments of the day.Luke 22:36 NASB said:And He said to them, "But now, whoever has a money belt is to take it along, likewise also a bag, and whoever has no sword is to sell his coat and buy one.
I'm not saying, it's not racist. I'm saying your interpretation of it is wrong. And that's not racist?I figure it means American white guys are so paranoid that they'd shoot their companions just for following too close.

Now, "white" and "black" cultures have a different take on guns. Whereas the former emphasize 2nd amendment and law abiding gun use, "good guy with a gun" etc., "black" culture emphasizes thug life, gangstas, i.e. using guns specifically to commit violent crimes.
