They should have charged him. I'm not saying the shooter didn't do anything wrong, but why didn't they charge him?

I am predicting it right now. At some point, you will hear the following talking point from the right. "See. We banned the confederate flag, but two more people are dead. Taking down the flag did nothing. Racism still exists." By this, of course, they mean to say that the flag should go back up and that it's OK to be proud of your slave owning heritage.

Have you ever heard of the phrase "going postal"? People have been blaming their former co-workers for their failings, and sometimes killing them, for as long as there have been co-workers to blame.

We don't know if it were his failings only. The scary thing is, he may have had legitimate grievances which were not addressed, combine it with him being crazy mad and you have a ticking bomb.
