Amid all the slights and grievances, real and perceived, between conservatives and liberals in America, you might imagine some common baseline moral sentiments—like, say, mourning a young American woman killed in ISIS custody. But to some well-compensated mavens of the right, she's just a dead "bitch."

As I noted last week and many other times on this site, I have no sympathy for any of these "American" (in name only!) hostages of ISIS. And my attitude when I hear they've been snuffed out is, so sad, too bad. Every single one of these hostages has been a leftist America-hater. They are anti-American "journalists" there to tell us how "moderate" and "democratic" these beheaders and live-human-burners are. Or they are anti-American "aid workers" (that's like the Middle East version of Barack Obama's "community organizer").

Anyway, if ISIS is just helping rid the world of "leftist American-haters" why the outrage and the screams from the Right for the US to step in and "do" something about ISIS? Apparently some high profile Right wingers are pleased as punch these Palestinian lovers are getting there comeuppance so shouldn't they be supporting ISIS in killing those hostages instead of pretending to be outraged? Obviously Schlussel is voicing their real feelings on the hostage deaths.
 
Kayla Mueller was a worker with Doctors without Borders when she was kidnapped. She was doing humanitarian work. So I can understand why a rightwing conservative asswipe would think she is an ant-american leftist.
 
Simple: they like the ideology of the terrorists. They don't need or want the terrorists to lose their whackaloon beliefs; they believe the same things. But they need some foreign thing to point at and drive the war machine, and to keep their shell game going. They hate challenge to the status quo. They like the terrorists. The right only picks sides because they need to pick A side or their model stops working.

Careful, if you in any suggest that doing any humanitarian work in the Middle East for people that aren't Israeli is a good thing, you could be considered a terrorist and your life becomes forfeit.
 
It is incredible than an American can be slaughtered and some on the right-wing mock it. We aren't talking to the edge fringes of the right. We are talking about mass publication media personalities of the right.

How much further do they have yet to fall? When they can mock the slaughter of an American who didn't think they did, just where will that take the right-wing?
 
1. I guess gendered insults are ok if it's the male genitalia that is used as an insult. "Dick" (and "dickbag") is politically correct to use by the Left, while "cunt" wouldn't be because it is "sexist".

2. Just because Kayla Mueller was killed in an attack on ISIS doesn't mean she should be beyond criticism. And if she was really a member of ISM she deserves much criticism. Speaking of ISM, anybody still remember Rachel "Pancake" Corrie?

Man, you have to get a hobby. Person is detained by a rather vile organization for nearly two years and is now dead and you are worried about that shit?

The link does not say she was a member, only that she volunteered and wasn't part of any violence.

Based on what I've been reading, she was in over her head over there.

Schlussel broke out the "bitch" word first so I'm ok with calling her a dick . . . and she is a cunt too.

Soo....the right of an individual to enjoy free speech shall not be abridged, but their citizenship can be mooted if we don't like what they say.

So can we say that Schlussel's diatribe makes her an "American" in name only, as she apparently rejects the Constitution and the freedoms it promises?

You'd be free to say it. Just like she is free to criticize Mueller despite her dying in tragic circumstances (at least she wasn't beheaded though).
