Romney having intentions to one day be President felt he could speak out without any consequences while looking good to the public. Now Romney wants to be Senator in Utah and appeal to a very conservative base to one day run again for the Presidential GOP nomination. He wants the OrangeFather's support for now as he uses a Senate seat as a stepping stone. In a Presidential election year, though, it could get nasty again.
