Lack of a mosque or a church never stopped anyone from practising their religion, and if by avoiding to do so even that "very small minority" are prevented from inciting or participating in violence is a good thing.Though you gave an excellent analogy of an asinine response for funding disease, this is simply about building mosques. If the EU is driving in immigrants, many of whom are from Muslims there is nothing wrong with them practicing what they believe and building mosques, subject only to planning permission. Or they can take over churches since there are a lot which no one wants to use anymore. All they need to do then are some minor conversions. The Spire could be modified to be a minaret, or to save money the cross on that spire can be removed and replaced by a red crescent.
Of course laws must deal with the very small minority who incite or participate in violent acts.
What if Russia were to donate Russian football fans some brass knuckles and metal bars when they go to France, so that they can practise their fandom? And then let the police of course deal with the "very small minority" that uses those things for violent acts.![]()
Building a mosque does not equal inciting anyone to violence.
It is making people feel comfortable in a strange place.
But since some see these people as subhuman they see any measure that gives them a little comfort as a waste.
