Shelby Shoup, a Gillum intern, arrested for assaulting FSU College Republicans

Well, if the alternative was to drink the chocolate milk, I guess it’s understandable.

Kind of lame, though. I miss when throwing pies was a thing. That had flair.

From Derec's article:
"I hope y'all realize that you are normalizing and enabling Nazis," said Shoup, who was charged with battery, according to the Leon County Sheriff's Office.

"Eleven of my people are f----- dead this weekend," she continued, referring to the Pittsburgh synagogue shooting. As she left, Shoup kicked a Ron DeSantis for Governor sign out of the grass saying "F--- Ron DeSantis."

People dying has a tendency to piss other people off. It can even make them temporarily lose their shit.

Was there a divisive sign that she was talking about?

The video is cut up, so maybe she mentioned it...

At any rate, I am glad she is looking out for her people. Everyone should.

She's wearing a hammer and sickle pin? :picardfacepalm:

But yes, the Republicans and the right wing in general have been the supporters of Nazism in the United States, historically.

In any event, though, none of this justifies her behavior. And she should get charged.

I am not a big fan of having people being charged with massive assault charges for splashing cold beverages on people. This should be a misdemeanor at most. Nothing that can derail getting a job for the first strike.

But a track record of this is a bad sign.

I know. We've got Republicans killing people and sending them bombs. Derec saying it's a false flag and then starting a thread about chocolate milk. Chocolate milk...

She's young and reacting inappropriately to some really tragic news, and it's not something that's caused lasting damage. I think pre-trial probation and dropping the charges if she keeps her hands clean in the meantime would be appropriate. Say 6 to 9 months or so - unless of course she's done something like this in the past. She should have to pay for the other person to get a new outfit too.

Violence begets violence, hate begets hate.

Sorry, but bias and hyperbole are not justification to commit mass murder.

Well that's it, I guess. Suspend the election, because obviously the left is too violent to be trusted with voting.

You heard it here first people. Chocolate milk is mass murder.

Hey, she didn’t know if any of them were lactose intolerant. They could have died.

With chocolate milk.
Woman arrested for throwing chocolate milk on Republican volunteer at FSU
She called them all Nazis, and blamed them for the synagogue attack in Pittsburgh. Ironic since she is also member of "Students for Justice in Palestine".

Good for her. She should have thrown a punch, not a chocolate milk. :)

...and go to jail for assault? She could be charged with assault just for throwing milk or a cream pie. Throwing a punch would only make it worse. What kind of corporation would hire someone outside of being a janitor who has a history of violence?

Oh my gosh! She called them Nazis!

That's terrible!

That's definitely as bad as sending bombs to people or shooting up synagogues, or marching around at night chanting "The Jews will not replace us!" or babbling about Jewish banker conspiracy theories or driving cars into crowds of people or defending actual flag-waving Nazis! Boy, those liberals will sink to anything, won't we? Nothing is too low for us! If only we could be good and decent non-terrorist people like those conservatives there!

Your princess snowflake feelings must be so hurt right now! I can't possibly apologize enough to every single conservative and libertarian (who are completely different, honest!) here.

Really? Arresting someone for battery for throwing chocolate milk at somebody?

It is battery.
It is ridiculous that throwing milk (chocolate or not) on someone is battery.

Well, start a campaign to special case throwing milk on someone as battery, but it is simply a consequence of the definition the of the crime. It likely would not result in jail time, and would be very minor, but someone should be able to press charges for having food thrown at them, and it isn't something that should legally be tolerated.
