So Ivanka sat in for Trump at G20

Could Somebody Please Defend Why Ivanka Trump is At the G-20 Summit.

Please I want to know what business she could possibly have there.
 
But how do you defend that which is indefensible?

I guess by pointing out that she is somehow more qualified in that she is a more balanced and dignified human being who probably did a better job representing us than Trump would have. That said, what a little bitch.
 
Yeah. The President was "called away". To what a five star golf resort? Once again we see the famous Trump projection. Accusing others of having "no stamina" while utterly failing to hold to schedules that other foreign dignitaries don't seem to have a problem with.
 
Because Trump has so much stamina he had to be "called away", undoubtedly for something important, like, a Five Star golf resort or something? Most likely he's overly tired from hanging out in German guest housing.
 
On the bright side, Ivanka didn't do anything really stupid, which we cannot say for sure Trump himself would not have avoided.

If I go to the grocery store and questioned about why I am there, my response that I was buying groceries is not a defense. There needs to be an accusation. It would be like me asking you for your alibi for yesterday afternoon for no reason whatsoever. In absence of an accusation, merely explaining where you were would not be an alibi.

Perhaps she wasn't supposed to be there, in which case one might be interested in her defense, but being interested in why she was there when she has no obligatory reason to refrain from going, that's something altogether different.

So, which is it? Does she need a defense, or are you just nosey?

Are you under the impression that anyone can attend the G-20 summit because it has unlimited seating capacity?

She's not there WITH Trump, she's there in PLACE of Trump.
I would say that Trump, the person we elected to be there, is the one who needs defending.

Lucky us, but not a really imporant point.

Trump did not run on an 'Ivanka Will Keep Me Out Of Trouble' platform. It may be the fact of the matter, but not one of his campaign promises.

I'm under the impression she could and did attend. Had it been impermissible, I dare say she wouldn't have gotten close.
 
It was a great trip for Trump.

He managed not to piss his pants or vomit on Angel Merkel. Therefore, Maga + Trump 2020!

As an aside, and probably more appropriate elsewhere, has anyone else here lost friends and/or family over all of this? I have.

I see it less like going to a grocery store and going to a biomedical conference to discuss biological research implications without ever having taken any biology classes.
