Trump released financial disclosures indicating he made $557 million last year... a claim many doubt (but his supporters don't care about lying). What is of the most interest, however, is that Donald Trump made $800,000 giving 4 speeches last year. No word on if he'll release the transcripts.

Well, you can't compare that to Clinton getting paid for speeches. She uses them as a way to have Wall Street funnel bribe money to her in order to influence her policy positions towards evil and repression. Trump gets paid that much because he's a yuge genius and, let's face it, the people in the audience get more than their money's worth no matter what they pay because the information he gets them is so completely awesome - seriously, it's just great.

Releasing his transcripts would be giving that valuable information away for free and is no different than just straight up robbing him. Asking for it is just one more example of crooked Clinton trying to steal from the American people. By "American people", I do, of course, mean Donald Trump because he's the best American person there is - seriously, he's just great.

I suppose he couldn't release a transcript, because like Palin, he just makes shit as he goes along.

Trump's wealth is about $4 billion, but Hillary and Bill Clinton's total wealth is only $45 million...about 1% of Trump's.

Yet...

Hillary Clinton delivered six paid speeches in 2015 for $1,475,500. These speeches included three in Canada, two in California and one in New Jersey -- all of which were already reported in previous financial disclosure forms.

i.e. she made ~ $250K per speech but Trump made $200K.

He comes off like a dumbass... the perfect representative for the average American.

If the decisions you've made throughout your life (including taking advantage of those additional decisions you've made to create financial opportunities for yourself) have found you making within $10 an hour of minimum wage, then you and people of like-kind might want to show a little restraint and sit back and learn a thing or two before being so quick to judgementally criticize those that chose and commanded a more lucrative route.

Or perhaps not, given that your relative levels of earnings have FAR more to do with accidents of birth, than with any actual decisions you have made.

Commanding a high income is at best very weakly correlated with good judgment. If someone deserves criticism, then you are very well advised not to allow their wealth to dissuade you from making that criticism.

I respect you. I'll think real hard about that.

Fast: I'm a commercial banker. I work with many commercial real estate investors and manufacturers. I agree with you that Trump shows great judgement and negotiating skills in growing his real estate portfolio. I've seen many people inherit their wealth and blow it in real estate. My concern with Trump is his ability to manage people. What are his leadership skills? He succeeds in real estate. However, in every business that requires good leadership skills, IOW going concerns: he fails. You should study his companies that had moving parts: Trump Airlines, Trump Vodka, Trump University, and etc. There are more than 20. In difficult businesses which requires a team to collectively move forward and produce a product or service in a competitive market: he fails. I've worked with business people all my life, and I'm not surprised that he succeeds in real estate, fails in going concerns. He's the exact type of boss that I'd never work for. He micro manages, belittles those around him, no grasp of complex subjects, makes snap judgements without weighing the facts, doesn't inspire, bullies, and etc. He doesn't inspire his employees! That is scary.

I think that Trump will be the worst president of our lifetime. I don't want him controlling the nuclear football.

No word on if he'll release the transcripts.

I bet you he will. It would not hurt him with his supporters and it would call Hillary's bluff. She has said that she will release her transcripts when everybody else does. Well Trump and Bernie are all that are left, and Bernie has already released his (he has none). She would pretty much have to release her own transcripts and prove what a corporate shill she truly is, which could turn the democratic base even more apathetic about voting for her. This is brilliant on Trump's part. Even if he didn't make any speeches, he should be out there doing it now and releasing transcripts.

Did not think he had anytime for extra speeches. He must be a hard worker.

Wow, attributing brilliance to a man who didn't even do anything.

I mean it will be brilliant when and if he releases his transcript, but of course you knew that.

I don't think even Higgins is dense enough not to realize Hillary's problem is not "giving speeches for money", except for maybe among the Bernie Sanders "if you make money you must be evil" crowd. Hillary's issue is that she is being paid large sums by those she was in a position to provide government favors for, and those she claims she claims she will regulate the bejeezus out of when speaking before progressive audiences. It seems very unlikely the transcripts of her speeches said stuff like "Gosh darn it, I'm here to regulate the bejeezus out of you". Trump does not seem to have any of these issues.
