Steelworkers vote to authorize strikes

Can I just say that Trump supporters are the STUPIDEST fucking people that have ever lived.

This week, 15,000 members of a major steelworkers union unanimously voted to authorize a nationwide strike at plants operated by steel giant ArcelorMittal if negotiations over new contracts flounder. The vote follows a unanimous strike authorization made by 16,000 U.S. Steel workers this month.

The short version is that the steel corporations have been seeing huge profits, even before Trump's tariffs, but the workers are not getting any of it and the corporations are refusing to even negotiate wage increases.

But watching some of these people being interviewed on HBO's Vice News https://news.vice.com/en_us/topic/steel-worker they voted for Trump because THEY ACTUALLY BELIEVE that Trump cares about "the blue collar worker" over the 1%. They ACTUALLY BELIEVE that Trump is going to take the workers' side against the corporations, and use his position to push the steel companies into negotiations.
