My brother just watched the Houston Ted Cruz rally with Donald Trump. When Ted Cruz came to the stage, about half the crowd booed him. WTF? At his own campaign rally? Apparently a lot of people were there to see Trump, not Cruz. This does not bode well.

Of course. JFK was very popular in Texas. Cruz's dad shot him.

Using words of the day as applied to the left...

Angry, uncivil mob of conservative snowflakes gets triggered by Beta Male Cruz being next to Dear Leader Trump.

Well, they're still going to vote for the putz, so who cares if they boo? Cruz certainly doesn't.

I don't know whether or not O'Rourke talks about the relationship between Ted to his dad Rafael. If he doesn't he should. Ted Cruz is so subservient to his father that I'd make the case that electing Ted Cruz is in fact an election for Rafael Sr. in reality.

If I were O'Rourke I'd flat out ask Ted why it is he is fronting for his father who is actually making the decisions. I'd also ask how many times and on what issues has Ted ever disagreed with his dad.

Then allow the media to run with that. That's raw meat for the media.

Well, he's probably terrified of his father. After all, the man is a serial killer who assassinated a President. You can't blame someone for wanting to stay on his good side and not piss him off.

My sense is that O'Rourke is trying to run a clean campaign with minimal personal attacks. Attacking the family of a person is frowned-upon down here and would likely be a big negative for Beto. It's probably also a reason why BO is running as strong as he is right now -- Cruz cozying up to the guy who slammed his own wife is not something that earns the respect of folks down here.

But it's not stopping people from voting for him. Everyone's always talking about how important all these various principles and morals are to people in the South, but the importance of them never seems to translate into the actions of those people.

I heard this morning that Republicans in Texas are outvoting Democrats by 9 or 10 percent. And, the same is happening in early voting in Georgia. A friend of mine just texted me as she was standing in line to vote. She said she was surrounded by a sea of Republicans. How does she know that? We just know. Believe me. This isn't looking good. I just hope that the Democrats get off of their asses and vote.

What I'm suggesting is not a personal attack, it goes to Ted's mindset. Ted Cruz makes his dad the focus of attention often such as in this interview

My case would be that if you want to know how Ted would govern read his father's book.
