Ted Cruz has kind of shocked the system and DC with his "FREE CROISSANTS FOR ALL" Tweet. Usually Ted Cruz is a bit more conservative and isn't for handouts. Maybe he was joking or something, but it is really hard to take:

out of context. The absurdity of his statement, I can only imagine, will lead posters here to post several hundreds of posts about it.

Missing the point seems to be as holy a sacrament to right wing follower mentality as not questioning authority figures, not holding power accountable, and punishing anyone who breaks any of those other sacraments.
