Ted running off to Cancun to “escort” his daughters got caught sneaking away with a large suitcase to the Ritz. Meanwhile, back in Texas millions are freezing, without water and food. Oh but what could he do? How about set an example for his kids by rustling up some grub and help feed the masses, giving each kid a job? A typical repub response, I have mine, too bad you don’t have any.:sad:

Now maybe the great brainwashed can vote this creep out of office.

Remember the outrage when Nancy Pelosi went to Hawaii during a government shutdown? Yeah, me neither. Two sets of rules.

Nancy Pelosi Vacations In Luxurious Hawaiian Resort Amid Government Shutdown

Her state wasn’t in crisis, people were not dying. Great whataboutism and grievance mongering.

And according to link she passed the bill and THEN went to Hawaii.

I wish Trausti had a valid what-about-ism more than 1/10 of the time. How can he remain blind to just how pathetic the team he roots for is?

same way over half the country voted for trump: they don't view this behavior as pathetic, to them it's virtue.

you're making the same mistake most people make on this topic and assuming that supporters of rightwing authoritarian actions are doing so because they've been 'fooled' or are 'blind' to reality.
the fact is, this is what they consider positive behavior in human beings. this is their values.

There are two or three posters whose almost every post seems to be Whataboutism, as though their only contribution to the political debate was "Sure, our farts are noxious but the other side's aren't so fragrant either." Is this the only way they can contribute to discussion?

If they open a new thread titled "Get sincere answers from sincere conservatives" I will reciprocate by taking them off Ignore.

... Should I hold my breath?

Cancun Ted did the same thing - kinda. He passed the BUCK and then headed to Cancun.

Dogs don't mind low temperature. They need food/water.

Dogs and cats are susceptible to frost bite and hypothermia, especially small dogs. Huskies and other dogs bred for cold weather don’t mind it. The Cruz dog is a small snowflake.

It's pretty furry. I once saw stray french bulldog here in winter (-20C to -30C), he was fine.
Lots of street dogs of all kinds and sizes here and cats, most of them are on the street for generations and generations. They die only if there is no food.

Very small, less than a cat dogs can be walked outside too, not sure if they survive on their own.

So you are an expert because you observed stray dogs and cats? And you were able to tell all of this from seeing Snowflake through the window and assessing the temperature in the Cruz’s house?

Stupid generalization.
Dogs and other animals "mind" what they're not accustomed to.
And yes, they can get hypothermic and die, in temperatures that might not effect others of the same breed that have long been used to the cold.
Age matters too - When my favorite horse was 3 he could take -20F (-30C) if he had food and shelter from wind. Now he's 21 years old and shivers if not blanketed at 10F (-12C).

THIS GUY free-dives without a wetsuit in 50F water, and can breathhold for 5-6 minutes at depth. Most people would go into shock in minutes if not seconds and many would experience cardiac arrest.
