Terrorists take over federal Building, threaten violence

http://www.cnn.com/2016/01/27/us/oregon-siege-traffic-stop/index.html

he FBI and state police teams knew the route they were going to take. They picked a spot away from populated areas to attempt a traffic stop. One vehicle stopped on command About a mile away, out of sight, the FBI and state police had set up a roadblock.

But Finicum, with police in hot pursuit, attempted to leave the main road and drove into a snow bank. When he emerged from the vehicle, FBI and state police ordered him to surrender. That's when, authorities say, Finicum reached down toward his waistband where he had a gun.

The SWAT team opened fire. Finicum was killed. Ryan Bundy suffered a light wound on his arm.

The shooting was captured on camera by the SWAT team. FBI and Oregon police officials are discussing possibly releasing the video, in part to counter claims by supporters that Finicum was gunned down while trying to surrender.

The remaining five have released their final demands for a peaceful ending.

Sean Anderson, one of the occupiers who remains behind, told CNN he is there with his wife and three others. The five have a proposal to leave peacefully but are not afraid to die, Anderson said.
They want the FBI to let them walk away and return to their home states without being arrested or confronted, Anderson said. "We are willing to leave peacefully," he said. "If the FBI will let us leave without arrest or forcing us through the checkpoint, we will all go home."
Gotta admire a man who's willing to die for his actions... But not to face any lesser, legal consequences for his actions.

Man this whole thing is about a fraudulent claim by a bunch of Stetson wearing,  Posse Comitatus (organization) claiming, constitution hugging, assholes.

The following excerpt from Bundy brothers among 8 arrested, 1 dead near Malheur http://koin.com/2016/01/26/malheur-militia-law-enforcement-01262016/ destroys any claim they made.

While advocating for the Hammonds’ release, the militia claimed the federal government has no jurisdiction over the Malheur refuge.Since then, Burns residents have urged the militia to leave at a series of community meetings. Bundy and the other occupiers have repeatedly refused to do so.
More militiamen from around the country drove in truck by truck to join the cause on January 20. The heavily armed militants believe their cause is not only just, but an act of divine intervention.
Governor Brown recently spoke out against the occupation, urging the militants to leave as quickly as possible. In a one-on-one interview with KOIN 6 News on Monday, Brown said the situation was “intolerable”.
“It is absolutely unacceptable for this to continue,” Governor Brown said. “The very fabric of the Burns community is being ripped apart by this occupation.”
The Burns Paiute Tribe also asked the U.S. Department of Justice to prevent the armed group from moving freely on and off the national wildlife refuge.

They are not representing the people, farmers and ranchers, local citizens, county citizens, state citizens, native american citizens in any way.

They are just a bunch of over aged juvenile delinquents with guns trying to bully their way to legitimacy. I'm glad these thugs are being put behind bars for breaking the laws of the land. beyond what is in the exerpt Dwight and Steve Hammond have disavowed the 'help' from these criminals. Indian tribes, actual citizens with standing about land use, denounce the actions of this band of scumbags. The local sheriff wants them gone. Burns citizens want them gone. County government wants them gone. State government wants them gone. Refuge users and caretakers want them gone.

This band of thugers have no justification in local, county, state, or federal law or practice.

As for justifying anything there is nothing which they can justify. My reading of history, primarily recent history, is that the FEDs bought up properties of many who had abandoned the land during the depression so taking land just doesn't fly.Let me correct a NRA claim. The only thing that will stop a bad guy with a gun is a well trained person under cover of the law with a gun.

What we need to concentrate on is letting citizens be citizens going about the business of living their lives, keeping guns free from the possibility of misuse by one against another or oneself, and assuring those charged with responsibility to protect ad to serve are trained to protect citizens and life with as little or no taking of life.

Final thought. This pack of shitheads are terrorists in name and act.
Can't add much to that, except that we have a case here of what some people become when they're spoiled stupid and have had everything handed to them.

A coworker thinks the FBI would be wise to go with this offer. Shooting the occupiers will be a negative blot on their public relations.

If so, the freedom loving patriots have managed to take themselves hostage...

Lets assume it's a correct description:

He had not surrendered. Hands up is not enough--surrender also includes compliance with orders.

A hostile walking up to you with his hands raised can still snatch a weapon.

Or detonate a suicide vest.

Quite a problem for Israel (when they capture a suspect bomber they require them to undress before anyone approaches), not normally an issue on US streets.

That's a flagrant violation of the social contract, and when you have minorities who sell loosies getting choked to death completely untenable.

The FBI don't need to, and know enough not to, go in guns ablaze. Let them freeze or starve to death, otherwise pick them up on the way to their dildo-laden PO box - but they must face a jury in my opinion.

And then, the dildos will do a victory dance.
Morris Dancing will never be the same for me....

Thank you.

Victory!

I agree they need to face a jury.

And never be allowed to own firearms again.
What?
They take over a federal facility, promise death, to SOMEbody if they're fucked with, threaten cops and Feds, call others to shoot their way through the cops to join them, and you socialist fascists want to TAKE AWAY THEIR GUNS!?!?!
What do you think this is, a routine traffic stop or something?

Trapped Inside Malheur Refuge, Militants Desperate For Way Out

http://www.opb.org/news/series/burns-oregon-standoff-bundy-militia-news-updates/trapped-inside-malheur-refuge-militans-search-for-opitions/

But Fry and Anderson maintain they did not start the occupation and were essentially just following orders. They emphasized that they’re not the militant leaders. Rather, they see themselves as scared foot soldiers.
"Just following orders?"
For a month the occupiers, and people commenting angrily on a host of news stories, have been accusing everyone who doesn't support them as sheeple, unwilling to take the necessary stand, to stand up against what's wrong, to stand up for what's right.
NOW they want to sit down and be innocent bystanders... We didn't start it, we just came when they called and supported them.

At this point, i would suggest the stop asking for safe passage out of town and just make sure their asses are not put in the same lockup as Bundy and the other leaders they're throwing under the bus.

When somebody takes orders to commit a crime, they are a criminal. "We was just followin' orders" is an admition of guilt. Its not like the Bundys put a gun to their heads and forced them against their will to follow illegal criminal orders.

of course that is what they want. Assholes.

I was rather shocked and pleased with the seriousness of the charges they've leveled against those they arrested so far.
