The American Voter, however, will have heard what he wants to hear and needs no talking head to tell him to be cautious in coming to a conclusion.
And the conclusion that he has is that the GOP candidates are lying to him and are going to ignore any promises made to him during the primary once the general election rolls around. If the candidates make statements which can be taken in a different way, the voters are going to assume that they will be taken in a different was as soon as that's politically possible. They're going to need them to expand upon and clarify those statements to allow for as little of this as possible. That will fuck the candidates over.
