A gorilla in Rwanda let this Australian tourist know when he ventured too close by throwing him three metres through the air 'like a rag doll'.
Australian man Johnny Clifton's hands were trembling as he got up close and personal to a very large gorilla in Rwanda.
Mr Clifton approached the animal from behind hoping to get a magical shot of its baby, but the mother gorilla had other plans

Terrifying to the victim I guess. Amusing to the rest of us.

Our common ancestor had strength. They kept it and we traded it for intelligence... well... some of us.

That's why we have Darwin awards.

Interestingly, even though this gorilla rightly felt threatened, she did not feel the need to kill the intruder.

There is a reason we arm bears and not gorillas. You've heard about the armed gorillas in Central America right? Back when the Reagan Administration was selling arms to apes.

The Gorilla wasn't in danger, nor did she feel particularly threatened. If she had, he wouldn't have gotten off so easy.
And your basis for this is.....?

Rational thought. The guy was taking a pic, thus no objective danger, and that the Gorillas response was not the response of a animal that feels threatened. She was very casual about it, let him get right up behind her, then slowly turned around and swatted him out her way as she casually mosied the other direction without bothering to note his response to the assault and whether she should flee or take more action, as a primate or just about any mammal would in response to engaging a perceived threat.

What is the basis for your assertion that she felt threatened to the same level comparable to people who kill intruders, other than your wanting to use the meaningless event to make an invalid analogy to your pet political cause?

Back in 1990 when I was in Rwanda visiting the gorillas our guide warned us to over up the flashes on our cameras as the flash could antagonize them. I think they associate the flash with muzzle fire, at least back then they did. But this female didn't look too alarmed as you say.

Man Fights Monkey (and get's his ass kicked)

This monkey thought he’d wreak some havoc for two friends who were attempting to get on a motorcycle.
But what started off as an innocent play-fight soon turned into something a lot more serious, with both man and monkey launching vicious attacks on each other.
Appearing out of the blue, the monkey had claimed his spot on the owner’s motorbike, refusing to move despite the owner’s pleas.

Things turned from bad to worse as the monkey started unashamedly peeing on the bike and damaging the seat.
Clearly that was the last straw for the owner who then launched his shoe at the monkey to make it get off the bike.

Yet rather than backing down, the monkey retaliated, charging at the man.
The man v. monkey altercation came to a close when the monkey was fought off in the water.
Moral of the story? Never mess with a monkey.
