Don't be a dick.
I remember we had a thread about this guy a couple years ago. There were a few naysayers that said he would not be successful and his business would suffer for it. Wellll...

(CNN)A maverick CEO who slashed his own salary four years ago to raise his employees' pay is doing it again.

Dan Price, the head of Seattle-based Gravity Payments, said Tuesday that all of the employees in the company's new Boise, Idaho, office will earn a minimum annual salary of $70,000 by 2024.

"This morning we cut the ribbon on the new @GravityPymts Boise office AND announced that all of our employees here will start earning our $70k min salary," Price announced on Twitter. "I'm so grateful to work with this amazing team and to be able to compensate them for the value they bring to our community."

Brace yourself for runaway inflation.

That's what my Libertarian friends have told me.

Yes of course, we can't have the unsubstantial people running around enjoying any socioeconomic mobility. We may need to reissue the Powell Memorandum and the TriLateral Commission publication "A Crisis of Democracy".

Oh wow. I thought that guy died from a lack of understanding capitalism.

aa

Capitalism is essentially the philosophy of "my property, my choice, transactions should always be mutually voluntary and government shouldn't be dictating the decision for either party in a transaction involving their own time and property." No where have I seen him advocate for the government to step into the decisions he is making with his own property. In what way is he lacking any kind of understanding?

That sounds lovely, do you anticipate that ever coming to the US?

Maybe Economic Ignorance? Not sure if I got the disease wrong or he was misdiagnosed. Either way, this dude didn't stand a chance.

Hopefully it will come, like not being murdered or raped or robbed sounds lovely and will hopefully come.

I roll my eyes when ever I read stories like this. Like, the office where workers set their own salary (if colleagues agree) or where annual leave is unlimited (as long as your work is managed).

These events only ever happen in small firms with high revenue from consulting or technology. The idea that it's widely or even narrowly achievable is a pipe dream indulged in by pampered office workers in the West.

Metaphor also writes articles for Fast Company under the pen name Lizzy Hill apparently
