Yep, Trump is down by six points to Hiliary in the latest poll by FOX news. If this is the FOX poll then you know the other numbers are worse - which they are.

Donald Trump has had a few rocky weeks on the campaign trail, and it shows in the latest Fox News Poll. Just over half of Republicans would rather have someone besides Trump as their nominee, and his support in the presidential ballot test has dropped seven points since May. :biggrina:

In the matchup, Clinton is the choice among blacks (87-3 percent), women (51-32 percent), voters under age 45 (45-35 percent), and those earning less than $50,000 annually (52-30 percent)

Trump leads among white evangelical Christians (66-18 percent), whites without a college degree (51-33 percent), gun owners (52-30 percent), whites (48-34 percent), men (46-36 percent), and independents (39-31 percent). :hysterical:
And there's the number that's going to seal the election for Clinton. This election is already over, it's just a matter of playing the end game.

No, the election is just starting. The Presidential election is long over, of course, but there's still the House, the Senate, the Governorships, the State Legislatures, whatever municipal races are on the ballot, etc.

If Clinton has a GOP Congress, it's just four years of obstructionism while people position themselves for the 2020 race. If she has a Democratic Congress, they can force her to follow through on all the progressive promises she'll make during the election. That's the battle which still continues.

It's funny that after eight years of Obama being one of the most centrist presidents in recent history, and the GOP painting him as the new Lenin, they've been unable to truly take the fight to the Democrats. All they've got to offer are old ideas that nobody wants anymore. Too bad for them, you can't win an election with just religious fanatics, gun nuts, and the uneducated voting for you anymore.

Well, that's the central problem with the GOP. It's leadership campaigns are mainly designed as money making operations where you can help out your new book deal or get a better guest spot on Fox News. There's not as much concern about whether or not you end up leading the country. It provides for a dismal set of candidates from a political standpoint, but does a great job for the wallets of those candidates.

But Trump is pivoting! The other day he read off a teleprompter and everything!

It is a little too early to call this one over, but he's in over his hair. Badly.

The only question will be whether he remains in the political spotlight afterwards as a kind of Sarah Palin-like freak, welcoming the Stupid to fawn over him. He'll need Fox for that though. But Fox may very well have a mind to ostracize his orange ass. And if that happens, then what? He has nothing but lawsuits to answer for.

I still can't believe that Trump is ahead with anyone... except maybe white males without a middle school degree.

I consistently under-estimate the capacity for sheer stupidity in this country. And every time I adjust my expectations lower (after Bush, then after Palin), I discover there is a sizable population even stupider than the lowered bar

Maybe it's time for somebody to leak the text of Clinton's speeches to Wall Street, where she admitted killing all those people and plans to destroy America from within the Oval Office. That could make it a closer race, like when the 'whitey' tape was produced that brought down the Obama nomination.

Not possible because she copyrighted them.
