Well, as long as we can make some broad sweeping conclusion about mankind based on this one incident about which limited facts are available.

I normally would think it odd to include in a story about a racially-motivated altercation between two civilians, what one of their political affiliations might be...
.. and then I read the comments to three separate online articles about this that had essentially the same content in the report.

The overwhelmingly popular comment boils down to, "Trump Trash".

So this surprising accusation is not a feature of this message board by any stretch of the imagination... it appears to be a popular attribution.

Va. man charged with hate crime after using Muslim slurs, biting victim’s face, police say

A McLean man is facing hate crime charges after police said he bit another man’s face in November after an altercation in which he used anti-Muslim slurs.

Robin McGreer, 35, approached a 31-year-old man in a Tysons Corner Center parking lot Nov. 27, started a conversation and then threatened him using anti-Muslim slurs, Fairfax County police said.

An altercation ensued and McGreer bit the man’s face, leaving him with a “significant face wound,” police said. McGreer left the scene before police arrived.

The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries that were not life-threatening, police said. Fairfax police said it is the department’s policy not to release details about victims’ backgrounds, so they would not describe the victim’s race or religion.

McGreer was arrested Monday and charged with bias-related malicious bodily injury.

While this is a perfectly valid point, I have a hard time believing that the guy was a Hillary supporter. Or, hell, even a Bernie supporter. The specific kind of logic fail that leads someone to bite other people's faces off is, IMO, the same kind of logic fail that would lead to someone thinking Donald Trump would be a great president.
