Weirdly Myopic Take on an Arrest

So, a corrupt union leader just got arrested in Pennsylvania and he had major ties to the Democratic party and was a large donor to them. Rather than a "Well, it's good that this criminal asshole is getting thrown into prison and is now out of the political system" or "How did somebody this obviously corrupt maintain such a prominent position of power for so long" type of take on it, though, the entire article is about how this affects the horse race for the electoral votes for that state.

It's odd that political commentary in the US is so myopically focused on the whole horse race thing that this is the first thing that they go to.

Well, since it's not an opinion piece, it's not weird at all that they didn't offer their opinion.
