Sometimes commentators make analogies of current events and people to other pop culture references, and I do not really understand the references because I have never seen the originals. Or certain movies/TV shows are considered historical classics or are just very popular, but I have not seen them myself. Yet still want to, just to get what they are talking about.
Which items are on your to-watch list, that you have never seen before? Maybe you want to seem them so you can understand references and inside-jokes made to them, or you just heard good rumors and reviews and are curious.
I have never seen any of the Godfather movies, but apparently the first 2 are film classics and the 3rd is crap. Still, they are regularly quoted and cited in the modern era, and I just cannot fully appreciate the references.
Never saw Jaws. Was terrified of the thought of it watching while a kid. Now as an adult I want to overcome that fear, though suspect it would not be as scary now as it was when it came out in the 1970s.
Never saw Dirty Dancing, though love the iconic song "Hungry Eyes" that is on its soundtrack. So I am hungry to watch that movie too.
Have not seen Anchorman with Will Ferrell or The Truman Show or Bruce Almighty with Jim Carrey, but it seems they are considered among their respective best movies.
