Not certain this falls under "stupid", but this is pretty bad.

We cannot keep FEMA, the Military & the First Responders, who have been amazing (under the most difficult circumstances) in P.R. forever!

Firstly, he is citing a Sinclair Broadcasting propaganda program. Secondly, he appears to have made the biggest dickheaded comment in the history of the Presidency. Pres. Jackson is thinking to himself... 'Damn, that's cold!'

If PR were smart, they would finally move, and quickly, to become the 51st state. They would provide DC with 2 Dum senators, and very small number of electoral votes before 2020.

They'd have about 7 electoral votes. Population is that of about Connecticut. If the Democrats did manage to take the House in '18, becoming a state could become a priority both for logistical and political reasons. Right now, there is a President threatening to disappear relief efforts on an island (surrounded on four sides by ocean water) that has very little power and is running out of food... and FEMA isn't supplying anywhere near enough food as it is. And the President is already taking away the shipping waiver.

If Puerto Rico was a state, this would probably be illegal or at least come with political consequences. So Puerto Rico might very well want statehood.

And the Dems could likely count on their votes for the next millennium.

If it was made to look like a deal where PR statehood was exchanged for Texas' independence we might see some bypartisanship with the pussygrabbing wing of the Republican party. Then Texas can finally move forward with their plans to take the rest of Mexico. It's like fulfilling their manifest destiny. The Trump would get his wall but it would be on Texas' northern border. And we wouldn't need to change the number of stars on our flag (which is probably the main objection Americans have in the first place).

Americans should already easily imagine how the customer service department would be in a total meltdown without even needing to bother purchasing.
