I know that many will want Warren or Bernie. I think that Bernie is too old. I have mixed feeling about Warren, but think that she would certainly sew up the left. I think that Tim Kaine would be solid. But I'd be excited about Mark Cuban. Cuban would blunt all of Trump BS. He's been far more successful than Trump and is self made. He knows how to manage people and is presidential. I'm with Cuban right now:

Cuban?

So Hillary says the Democrats are just a sideshow too?

What has Cuban said that is wacky? I can think of 50 things that Trump has said that is wacky. His views on vaccines, bombing families, views on Mexicans, and etc and etc.

He is just a rich guy with no special opinions.

There are all these Bernie voters out there she could grab with Warren.

She isn't going to get any Trump voters with Trump-lite.

It's not clear to me that the Warren voters (who are very similar to the Bernie supports) will support Hillary. It's a growing concern that the Bernie (Warren) supporters may either vote third party or stay at home. The moderates will vote.

Cuban is a Rand fan so I doubt he'd go for the D's VP ticket. I think the strategy is going to be to woo the right, so I'd expect someone like Manchin.

If Warren is the VP they will support Hillary.

The problem is she will outshine Hillary.

It won't be Warren. Her state has a GOP governor and the odds of retaking the Senate are slim enough without giving the Republicans a bonus seat. It won't be Sanders either because he won't want to have a position where his power is wholly dependent on Clinton's whim and he'd much prefer to be able to work to effect change in the Senate.

It'll probably be someone from whatever swing state she feels she needs the most of a boost in, like Georgia or Utah.

If Hillary wants to win and energize her campaign she should pick Warren. If Warren would take it.

If she wants to hold the Senate and have a campaign devoid of energy and possibly lose she should make a more practical choice.

Ohio and Pennsylvania are uncertain. One of those would be a boost….

But I agree, Warren and Sanders can only deliver what she already has.

A white male younger than her.

She doesn't already have the Sander's supporter.

She's done nothing to make them think she wants them.

She has Vermont, which is the point. Which is only 3 EP btw.

Going to go Trump when Bernie loses?

Bernie has supporters in every state.

And many would find Hillary a lot more palatable with Warren on the ticket.

No one's going to Trump. Once Warren starts campaigning for Clinton, Sanders either becomes as irrelevant as he was when his people were trying to get her to run or he becomes a major player for Clinton's agenda.

All candidates have supporters in every state. A non-statement.

The sites I'm following show HRC clearly ahead, even with Bernie going negative. If the election was held now, she has a 99% chance. At this point, she's at 70% to win in November, and that's conservative.

Bernie is not every candidate. A non-idea.

And Bernie does nothing but speak the truth.

Only somebody with ulterior motives would label speaking the truth as negative.

You've wandered off into the weeds.

I would've been happy to have Bernie as the candidate. His contribution has been invaluable and his numbers against Trump are better than HRC's, but guess what, he can't get his party to nominate him. Bit of a problem.

The point is, there are better VP choices.

You mean I followed you into the weeds.

Better choices for what? For making decisions about the nation?

No. Either Warren or Sanders would lure some of the left of center voters, especially younger ones. Hillary is pretty solidly right of center. A liberal running mate would be a draw for younger voters who are likely to stay home. It would certainly make her much more palatable to the young set. And to this old lady.

Yes, but would they deliver any crucial states?

Emotions and preferences aside, elections are won by these considerations, and the VP really doesn't do much of anything.

Sanders and Warren are from NE blue states. If they were from say Colorado, that could change things.
