It has already come back once. Comedy Central did a version with Dave Attell as the host, but I believe it only lasted for one season.

Isn't it kind of like the first couple of weeks of American Idol? You laugh at terrible people with no ability trying to perform, but it gets old quick and having it happen more than once a year isn't necessary.

The Gong Show has been running for a while with the availability of YouTube, it just isn't on national television. I can't see how this will last more than three or four episodes.
