    IMMUNITY and SCOTUS

Just some ideas if the supreme court does grant immunity: Biden should order the FBI, as an official act, to arrest Trump and then hide him in some black op site (if needed, pardon anyone involved) Trump, if elected, should order the Treasury to print billions of dollars and send it to his...

South Dakota governer executed her puppy because she didn't like it

Is it really sparing no expense to post the puppy on craigslist and pet adoption websites, and contacting some shelters to try to find it a new home and, having no success, contacting a vet to euthanize it? Purebred wirehaired pointers are desirable in the marketplace, I really doubt there...

If Trump elected why would he ever obey a supreme court ruling he doesn't like?

I can't imagine a scenario where Trump follows a ruling from the Supreme court he doesn't like. What is the downside? The supreme court has no army or police force to enforce its rulings. The constitutional remedy is impeachment. But it requires 2/3rds of senators to convict on articles of...

South Dakota governer executed her puppy because she didn't like it

And for those trying to defend this by saying some dogs are dangerous and can't be helped, and killing it can be the best out of all the bad options, you are completely missing what makes this story distrubing. Steps a non-psychopath takes before resorting to killing their dog: 1. Hire...

South Dakota governer executed her puppy because she didn't like it

Or the far more likely scenario: a dog bred to hunt birds, after minimal effort to train (having it watch older dogs is not training), sees some chickens and instinctually attacks and kills them. The owner, with hate (her words) coursing through her veins, goes after the dog like a maniac to...

Columbia University is colluding with the far-right in its attack on students

This is effectively collective punishment. Isn't that anti-american and a violation of the constitution? If certain speech is banned (gag), then arrest the specific individuals engaging in the illegal speech, not the ones that happen to be in the same group together. I'm not guilty of your...

South Dakota governer executed her puppy because she didn't like it

The thing is it doesn't even sound like she gave much of any attempt to train it. Her idea of training was to have it watch older hunting dogs and model their behavior. And as others have mentioned there are many people who would take it as a pet. Wirehaired pointers are usually worth decent...

South Dakota governer executed her puppy because she didn't like it

South Dakota governer included the tale in her book to show she is willing to do the "difficult, messy and ugly [psychopathic] things" Her 14 month old puppy chased some phasants and attacked some chickens. She decided it needed the death penalty for these infractions and carried out the...

Columbia University is colluding with the far-right in its attack on students

What should Columbia do about people saying these things on the public sidewalk?

Not on campus but right next to it (at the 116th street subway station entrance), on the public sidewalk.

Columbia University is colluding with the far-right in its attack on students

That's a judgment call, and we also don't know the specific contents of all the student complaints. I think a university should err on the side of keeping students in a safe and welcoming environment and keep main university functions running relatively uninterrupted over allowing students to...

Trump tried to defraud his truth social business partners

It's legal because any potential shareholders were told about it in advance in the company's filings. It could be argued that this is his "bonus" for keeping the share price high, like an incentive bonus for a job well done. Whether the share price is kept high by actual good company...

Columbia University is colluding with the far-right in its attack on students

The due process concerns are different than deciding to end the encampment and then following through on that decision. After considering their options, the complaints from students and concerns for their safety, and the disruption to regular university function, administration decided it was...

Columbia University is colluding with the far-right in its attack on students

Based on the incidents I posted in my response to Jimmy, I would consider the concerns reasonable. Of course not all the protestors are engaging in these kind of actions, but I can see how the encampment can make the students subject to the abuse very uncomfortable by the entire encampment.

Columbia University is colluding with the far-right in its attack on students

You think it is hyperbolic to call an environment with these kind of incidents threatening and intimidating to many students? And there have been others:

Columbia University is colluding with the far-right in its attack on students

The president of the university said the following: Should universities allow harassing and intimidating environments for many students and severe disruptions to campus life? Imagine if it was an encampment protesting affirmative action, and the students regularly screamed at the minority...

Fauci Should Be In Prison - Senator Rand Paul

If anyone is interested, this podcast provides a really good deep dive of covid origin by actual experts in the topic (3 virologists who study virus origins). In short, zoonotic origin much more likely based on the evidence, but lab leak theory not completely insane. If I had to bet I'd put it...

    The hush money indictment

This case is pretty slam dunk. Should be an easy guilty verdict on some of the charges. Michael Cohen already went to prison for the same events.

The idiocy of the reaction to someone challenging a person held in high regard.

That addresses the supply side of the equation, but not the demand side. Why is the demand for such interviews (seemingly) so low? Or maybe I'm wrong here, a lot of people will complain about such an interview but still watch it, but even then, why such a negative reaction?

The idiocy of the reaction to someone challenging a person held in high regard.

So more than ever, I'm seeing an extreme negative reaction to an interviewer who challenges and probes an interviewee in a very direct and forceful manner. Sometimes the way the interviewer asks the question is more from a devil's advocate postion, trying to steelman the opposite view...
