I know a whackjob evangelical who almost showed up on Jan 6th.
Why only “almost”?I know a whackjob evangelical who almost showed up on Jan 6th.
This part in particular doesn't pass a smell test:This doesn't pass the smell test. From what's in the lawsuit, there's more to this story. I think dude is just looking for a quick payday. From what is mentioned in the lawsuit, if there be fibbery going on, I hope he gets his financial ass reamed.A Jewish passenger is suing JetBlue claiming religious discrimination after he was thrown off a plane following his refusal to sit next to a woman
The passenger said that he was kicked off the flight from Palm Springs to JFK after trying to swap seats due to his religious beliefs.www.businessinsider.com
I haven't flown in some time but aren't seats assigned when you purchase your tickets, as in y'all buy your tickets and get seats together so as not to have to sit next to some strange?
The plane's pilot then told Lunger and his travel companions — his wife and another woman — that Lunger couldn't change seats because it would cause a weight imbalance, the lawsuit says.
In a commercial jet? Yeah a couple hundred pounds isn't going to make or break anything. Smaller planes, it can be (is) a problem. I've been asked to move...This part in particular doesn't pass a smell test:This doesn't pass the smell test. From what's in the lawsuit, there's more to this story. There's no way the distribution of passengers is an important part of the weight balance of the aircraft. If that were true, every passenger would be weighed personally before entering the plane. I wouldn't dare fly on a plane the performance of which depended on the weight distribution of passengers.
The article claims that multiple passengers were willing to change seats with him but the airline employees prevented that. However, given the above claim about the pilot’s comment about “weight imbalance” I am skeptical of the man’s story. In a commercial jet? But this dude wants accommodation for a superstitious belief that keeps him from being seated next to MORE THAN HALF OF HUMANITY?
In public transportation, I'd say that's a risk that - no matter how grave - an airline passenger has already tacitly agreed to take. If he wants to represent that his religion makes him a "special needs" case that deserves special consideration, he needs to rationalize elevating his stupid concern over the concerns of others - who might just want him to sit down and STFU.
My impulse would be to tell the fucker to get over himself, and kick him off the plane if he can't do that.
What I'm seeing is the overworked, underpaid, staff of a cheapo airline losing patience with a particularly difficult passenger. The article claims that multiple passengers were willing to change seats with him but the airline employees prevented that.
400 Million Year Old Hammer discovered In Texas The London
The inner handle underwent the carbonization process, the hammerhead was constructed with iron purity, and this is only possible with modern-day technology, according to research by the Metallurgical Institute of Columbia.
surprisingly researchers also found that the iron had undergone a process of purification and hardening, typical of metallurgy of the twentieth century.
According to analysis, the rock encasing of the hammer was dated to the Ordovician era, more than 400 million years ago
That's a late 19th century miner's hammer found in a deposit of travertine.Yeah, but my atheist friends, 45000 years is not as old as the 400 million year old hammer?
My word these methods for dating, like the dating of the ivory handle is fascinating don't you think folks?
This hammer could be older than Thor's hammer.

I'm not advocating the hammer being 400 million years of course
I've used the fact check and Wikipedia has got the same bias and credibility result as the archeology site (get your tissues out). Most here on the forum have been using Wikipedia as a source of information, posting links. I bet I'll find one in your post somewhere.I'm not advocating the hammer being 400 million years of course

Is Archaeology World one of the recent wave of Russian fake “News” sites? Is that why you linked to them?
- Overall, we rate Archaeology World Questionable based on a lack of proper sourcing and a complete lack of transparency regarding ownership and authors.
BTW, recent concretions of millions of years old rock can accumulate on recent metals, and creos have been known to cry about that too.
Mormon temple garments are meant to remind LDS members of their covenants with Christ and shield them from temptation and evil — while some Church members even claim the underwear has protected them from accidents.
All religions have symbols, relics, rites, and garments that are sacred to their followers. But one religious garment often gets more attention — for better and for worse — than others: the holy Mormon underwear of the Church of Latter-Day Saints.
After participating in this ceremony, adults are expected to wear the underwear at all times (with exceptions, such as during sports). Generally made of white material, Mormon temple clothes look something like a T-shirt and shorts, but they’re adorned with sacred Mormon symbols.
My experiences with LSD are quite different. Folks tend to take OFF their garments and celebrate without the benefit of any temple…LSD folks are supposed to faithfully wear the garments after going through a temple ceremony.
