In 2022, 20 GOP Senators will be up for re-election. So far, 5 of these have stated they will not run for re-election
1. Roy Blunt - Missouri
2. Rob Portman - Ohio
3. Richard Shelby - Alabama
4. Pat Toomey - Pennsylvania
5. Richard Burr - North Carolina
Further more, two more GOP Senators have not committed to running for re-election. Charles Grassley - Iowa, and Ron Johnson - Wisconsin. If they do not run, that is seven GOP Senatorial seats in play, 1/3rd of all GOP seats up for election in 2022. This means a loud and obnoxious election cycle for sure. Will the Trumpistas manage to win these primaries? Will that lose them Senate seats in 2022?
