I used to be a fundamentalist, conservative preacher. I made a decent living at this for about 8 years, then a part-time living at it for another 8 years before getting out of it altogether.

After a lengthy period of questioning why I believed as I did I ended up realizing that I had been indoctrinated with myths no objectively different from those of the ancient Greeks and Romans or of those believed in by modern (but different) religious traditions.

Now I'm a skeptic.
