Raised atheist/irreligious, became a believer at 27 when I picked up a Bible to formulate a more informed critical opinion of organized religion. Though becoming a believer my opinion of organized religion only became more critical. I'm skeptical by nature. I've been testing my faith by discussion with skeptics for over 30 years now.
