I did a lot of reading about him the other day and while he is considered a moderate by most people, I found his views and what he has done for Kentucky to align with what is usually considered fairly progressive by US standards. I really like him and most of his policies. I think he'd be a...

https://www.jewishbible.org/articles/noahs-ark-as-metaphor/ I think this explanation from a Jewish perspective gives a pretty good explanation as to why the story of the ark should not be taken literally.

The problem is that people who literally believe all this Bible shit don't really think enough about it. If they did and if they studied their bibles more carefully and found all the contradictions and prophesies that don't match at all, they just might figure out that it's all a bunch of...

Yes, I read the entire link and no I didn't put it there for you as you obviously have no interest in learning what's going on. The last link went into a lot of detail about the things that are a threat to the environment and how they impact the climate. I thought it had some interesting...

I have friends who live in rural America and one is a white woman married to a black man. The other one is former poster Jobar, so I'm not so sure that the average rural dweller is racist. There are plenty of racists in cities, especially in the Northeast, which is much more segregated compared...

I wouldn't waste my time trying to convince someone who doesn't want to know the truth, plus I seriously doubt he has read many if any of the links we've provided. I don't put them here for him. I put them here for those of us who are interested in learning more about how the climate is changing...

https://academic.oup.com/bioscience/advance-article/doi/10.1093/biosci/biag125/8836482?login=false The link explains how the climate is rapidly changing due to human behavior. it's a report by actual scientists, not some clueless guy who keeps telling us how lovely the weather is where he...

These days a lot, maybe many skilled technical workers like plumbers, LPNs, electricians etc require 2 year degrees. I do agree that we need more people in these areas. At least most community colleges are still somewhat affordable, but there should at the very least be employer programs that...

I really like Beshear. I've seen him interviewed. I think he's very smart and realistic, without acting like an asshole. The fact that he's easily won twice as governor in a bright red state is very impressive. If he runs, I'll vote for him in the primaries. I also think Shapiro could be a good...

Sorry, I didn't mean to imply that living a healthy lifestyle is a guarantee of good health. And, sure there are some very good doctors and most of the nurses I worked with over my career were very good and caring, but a few were not, including one of my favorite supervisors. She was fun to work...

What is this thread about? Since it's all over the place, let me add a bit. First of all, I looked up the average age for when a doctor starts to practice and it's between 25 and 29, hardly middle age. Of course that varies as I read about an NP recently who wanted to become an MD and...

We can buy two lbs of ground pork and beef for 8 buck that we cook for the dogs and then Mr. Sohy grounds up some cheap chicken breasts along with that. I mix it with a little bit of dry dog food and fancy canned dog food. They also get vegetables and left over meat, mostly from restaurants for...

https://www.salary.com/research/salary/recruiting/primary-care-doctor-salary Considering the cost of school, insurance and other basic equipment, it doesn't appear as if primary care doctors make very much money in the US. I assume the above salaries are associated with a large practice as...

Everyone I know who votes also votes in the primaries, but the choices are still very limited. For one thing, very few people even want to run these days, especially considering all the death threats and verbal attacks they are getting. Your post makes no sense, so maybe you could clarify...
