I have been out of the illegal download loop so long I no longer know what all the cool kids use

What's best for audiobooks? I used to use thepiratebay and Demonoid. But those both seem dead

What's hot now?
 
If you're looking for books, Audible is so cheap these days piracy is not the recommended pathway.

For text books there is actually a much better resource at Library Genesis.

ThePirateBay still works but is not recommended.

Does LibGen have audiobook listings?

Otherwise, the illegal download game for audoobooks is pretty dried up on account of above-board distribution platforms being accessible and convenient.
 
See if your local library offers digital content. I use my library for digital books, audio books, magazines, movies and tv shows.

This. The main use case was music, but now all of recorded music can be had for 5/month, so there isn't a lot of draw for torrenting.

There are still gated communities for bootlegged music but they're typically invite only / word of mouth. And I don't know any of them.
 
Audible still has their bizarre subscription model. But I agree their prices are reasonable now

Unfortunately I am Swedish and live in Denmark. You have to be Danish to use Danish libraries. Its an annoying feature of life here and the EU
 
I use libgen.is for ebooks and QBitorrent for whatever else. QBit can be hit or miss for audiobooks though.

My awesome life has impacted my life in ways I didn’t expect. It turns out that having a lot of fun is very stressful. Which isn't healthy. Which means that I need to have a less awesome life. So now I have lots of time for books.
