After watching his speech I would say yes, he is unfit to continue as president. In a mental fog.

That would give Harris 4 months as president before the election.

I would say no. I saw someone who has always struggled with words and is now old. He's got an administration that can carry him through the next 6 months.

I would also say no because - as much fun as it would be to poke a fork in Trump's "47th President" marketing, having Harris take over as President would take her away from the campaign. There's a little over 100 days until the election, the newly-minted Harris campaign has gained a surprising head of steam, and given the tight nature of the race and her late entry, taking a month or so to transition to a "new" administration and reworking the entire last half of the year so she can carry out her duties would not be a winning strategy.

I would also say no because it also throws the question of who is her VP to Congress, and with the GOP in charge of the House, gives them an opportunity to fudge up the works even more. If she becomes President, she needs a VP, and there is no way in hell that Mike Johnson will allow a VP to be confirmed.

Finally - and I fully admit this is me being paranoid - if there were no VP chosen and the Secret Service once again failed to protect a candidate - Mike "I Check Up On My Son's Masturbation Because Jesus Said So" Johnson becomes President for the remainder of the term.

I sort of agree, but its so late in the game, and kicking him out under the 25th amendment would be a big distraction and a stain on his legacy (this coming from someone who was never a big fan of his). We should just ride it out until Jan.

Let him stay and serve out his term. IMO, he is the greatest president that has served this nation in my lifetime. He deserves at least that.

I’m trying to be fair, he is 81, he is getting over a case of Covid after a grueling travel schedule but jeezus Christ, Brandon is out of it. He absolutely should step down not only for the sake of the country but for the sake of his own health. If he doesn’t step down voluntarily, he will probably keel over dead.

So? What do we actually need him to do for the next 6 months??

Yes, he should step down and give Kamala some chance at winning.
The corpse was hardly a president during most if not all of his term.
