    Marxism

It's not warfare! It's simply reality--you can have more now, or even more later. "Class warfare" is pretending you can have your cake and eat it too.

    Marxism

I somewhat disagree. The thing is almost everyone who reaches very high wealth does so by being a great success in one place. It's an all your eggs in one basket type situation, if something happens to that basket you fall. But there is the Warren Buffet type wealth (his success was in...

Or otherwise disabled. Yup, we have to balance present consumption with future consumption. But an awful lot on the left are all about present consumption, eat the seed corn.

    Climate Change(d)?

Doesn't matter how many times you say this, that won't make it true. The local change is far from imperceptible. It's utterly obvious in growing seasons, it's utterly obvious in days that I would be comfortable going for a hike.

    Climate Change(d)?

Just because there is natural change doesn't mean what we are seeing is natural. Or safe for humanity. It doesn't say what you want. That doesn't make it not legitimate. You keep trying to rebut it by referring to how it gets mangled in the popular press. It's not unprecedented, the Earth...

Do you think any aliens exist in the universe?

No algorithm can provide a perfect simulation--but that doesn't mean we can detect the failures.

    News sucks

Yeah. The suggestions can be useful, but the untrustworthiness means that's all they're good for.

    Marxism

They are invisible so long as people are doing their job properly. I work for one of the good ones, he basically tries to automate his job other than innovating, I translate that into code that actually does it.

They aren't researchers. Why are you acting like they are? You're playing shoot the messenger. Note that shoot the messenger is because you can't refute the message. The right is very big on shooting messengers.

    Climate Change(d)?

As usual, you don't even recognize what your own stuff is saying. Browbeating someone into saying what you want doesn't mean they agree with it. It was subverted by the carbon interests long ago. Of course it's a mess.

    Climate Change(d)?

Tehran, out of water. Locally: When The Felon was elected the first time I posted a picture out my front door, someone noted the "dead" (died back) yam in a pot. That particular pot no longer holds yams, but others do. I was just out harvesting some leaves, they are just starting to show the...

    Climate Change(d)?

You realize you are talking about the right trying to derail climate stuff, you think this is a good thing??

    News sucks

I don't think this is stated right. It's not truly productivity if what it produces isn't right.

    Marxism

What I meant to say was "puts no value on", but semantically that's the same as "does not put value on". It's not just entropy, but what's supposed to happen down the road? Almost all factories contain moving parts. And moving parts are wear items. Make every moving part replaceable, now you...

    News sucks

Sorry, but in many cases find the error is harder than just doing it. Humans perform abysmally at tasks where the system does it and the human acts as quality control. Look at the mess Tesla has made of supposed self driving.

    Marxism

But the workers didn't provide the materials, only the labor. And not all of the labor. Virtually my entire career has been spent doing things which make others more productive. The customer receives nothing from me, does that mean my labor doesn't exist?

Well... it's Trump... again. #47, here we go.

The what to do is left vague because there are no answers. It's just wishful thinking. If we are not out of options name an option we have. Be specific about what to do and how it will change things. Can't, can you--because it's just leftist faith that there must be an answer, not reason.

Well... it's Trump... again. #47, here we go.

Already got hit with a 25% increase for 2026. And note that they can kill the ACA with a death spiral without ever actually killing it. All it takes is permitting underwritten health plans to exist.

Huh? That doesn't tank your credit. Our credit ratings are about 800, not a penny of interest anywhere on our credit reports. That's entirely from credit cards that are always paid in full. Nothing with an annual fee.

Well... it's Trump... again. #47, here we go.

I fully agree that paying it off sooner is better--realistically for most people, paying down your mortgage is zero risk, tax free return of whatever your interest rate is and it's unlikely you have better options. That doesn't in any way rebut my claim that a 50 year mortgage isn't a windfall...
