    Black Holes: Some Recent Observations

The wave-particle duality. When propagating in space we model ilight as a wave with electrc and magnetic fields. When interacting with matter we model it as a particle with a wavelength. AE demonstrated the quantization of light in the Photoelectric Effect. It is what made him famous. AE...

Most Americans in Abraham Lincoln's day were Christians. (Christians who didnt own slaves.) Prove me wrong.

You are 'going off the rails ' so to speak. Grasping at straws trying to get around your inference that most 19th century Christians were not pro slavery. Incoherent babbling. Should a slave be punished for raping a slave? Where the hell does that come from? Sounds like a biblical interpretation.

Most Americans in Abraham Lincoln's day were Christians. (Christians who didnt own slaves.) Prove me wrong.

Keep in mind slaves were not cheap to buy or own. Most Christians or anyone else probably could not afford slaves. Jefferson, and Washington were upscale slave owners.

Most Americans in Abraham Lincoln's day were Christians. (Christians who didnt own slaves.) Prove me wrong.

That Christianity was dominant in the 19th century is historical L fact. Protestants dominated and both Catholics and Jews were disdained. If yiu look at the signers f the Declaration Of Independence you will see a number of Deists who were not Christian...

    Atheists likely to be wealthier

~R One can quote mine both philosophy and and scripture to support a narrative or point of view. Neither proves anything. It has been about 50 years since I read Nietzsche. For every historical philosopher you quote I can find an historical philosophers counter to your claim...

    Atheists likely to be wealthier

My experience says Christians and atheists are collectively no better or worse that each other. It is Christians who clam a superiority certain;y not born out through history and today. There are atheist theologies for lack of a better word as shown by Carrier and others. As to wealth or any...

    Atheists likely to be wealthier

Anyone in my generation who grew up in and went to school in the RCC even if we are atheist now always feel guilty without knowing why...:D Seriously, Christianity is built on guilt. In the RCC your are born with original sin, and the only way to get rid of it is by being baptized in the...

According to Robert Sapolsky, human free will does not exist

Jumping into the thread. Nothing cnanges in zero time, and information can not propagate faster than the speed of light. Effect can not precede cause. Perception and awareness are catch all simplistic terms that describe a complex phsyical neural process. How does a baseball player 'computer'...

NASA's Proposed Plasma Rocket Could Get Us to Mars in 2 Months?

I thought that nuclear bombs was an old idea. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Mouse_on_the_Moon It doesn't sound workable. Testing it in space to the point of reliability is no small task. It word have to be precise enough to maneuver into orbit, or have secondary propulsion. The...
