Was a huge fan of Type-O back in the '90s. Got to see them twice in St. Louis, once opening for Motley Crue, and once in a club. The club was the best show by far.
Oh Yeah. Have you checked out Cavalera Conspiracy? Max and his brother from Sepultura got together and put out an album. It's been a few years ago since it's been released.
Fear Factory has been hit or miss for me with their later albums. I seemed to have liked their covers almost more than there original songs. Still enjoy them, and look forward to seeing a new album from them. I saw them on tour back in '94 in St. Louis, opening with Clutch for Sepultura...
I was impressed with Death Angel's new release "Dream Calls for Blood". Suitably Thrashy. Some of the newer Venom releases are pretty good too. "Fallen Angels" has a nice growl to it, but it is still Venom, so not too overly complicated. I'll have to look more to see what else is new(ish)...
