Aereo is in a fight for its life. The company lets people lease a tiny antenna in their warehouse, to be able to gain access to over the air (OTA) programming, and even DVR services (for a not so cheap $8, unless you had cut the cord). The broadcast companies say that is stealing. The courts have disagreed and it is now stepping up to the highest court in the nation.
But this thread goes elsewhere, and is about the antenna. I was curious as to how in the hell an antenna that small can pick up VHF signal. A VHF signal has a finite length. It seems impossible to be able to pick it up the signal, especially the low VHFs without bunny ears. My thinking is Aereo has formed a VLA of sorts and that is how they are picking up the VHF. If that is the case, Aereo is likely illegal however.
