The decennial population counts are used for important things other than apportionment, but let's just look at that. Trump's team has already doctored the population counts even if courts do not allow them to subtract alleged "illegals." But one thing they may not have been in time to doctor are the 2019 Census Bureau estimates. These 2019 figures should give us a pretty fair estimate of 2020 population, if fairly counted. (The following estimates incorporate info from 2018 estimates as well, to predict trends.)
I have not Googled to see if preliminary Census results are available. But I do want to compare the eventual apportionment of the Electoral College with what it "should" be; I am posting the list below for reference. When the new apportionment is announced we'll know if it was affected by cheating. The first column is predicted ev's for 2024; the 2nd column is the present ev count.
