I find it incredibly refreshing and endearing the way Bernie Sanders plays politics. First he said over and over that he refuses to attack Hillary Clinton or anybody else and refuses to play adhoms and wants to talk about the issues and the issues alone. Then he said loud and clear that he's sick of hearing about Hillary's Damn Emails. Then he speaks against the DNC, for doing what they really are doing, in the games they are playing to keep debates to a minimum and protect Hillary etc, but refuses to attack her directly, as it really isn't her doing it. And now, after Trump apparently attacked Hillary for getting back late to the debate because she was taking time in the bathroom, he comes out and says this. It both makes me laugh and makes me smile.

"I don't know what his relationship with women has been like, but he has discovered that women go to the bathroom, and it's very upsetting for him."

He just comes across as honest and straight forward. If he wins the nomination, I, as a Canadian, will envy you in the USA for having the chance to vote for him. And I look forward to seeing how he handles the general election. I would be amazed if he actually managed to do that election without any personal attacks against the Republican candidate, especially if it is Trump.

It would be great if he were the nominee and it's sad that he has no chance.

He'll just treat Trump's towers and buildings as if they were penises. He'll suggest those physical icons will be less upright after they have to endure Trump bombast. After all cursing, bombast, and loving large things, are all signs that the one doing and wanting them possesses a very small penis. I sign of the times perhaps.

Well, Sanders also said that Donald Trump is a pathological liar, which is a bit more personal than saying Trump's claims are false. But I honestly think I can let that slide because Trump is indeed a pathological liar, and it's good to see Sanders isn't averse to pointing that out.

Did you feel the same way about Obama in 2007? I'm honestly curious.

So what's different now? Is Clinton that much more electable than she was, or is Sanders that much less electable than Obama, or both? I think it may at least be a close race.

Clinton isn't as cocky about her victory. One of the key reasons that she lost last time because of the mistakes that she made and she has learned from those.

Additionally, the Democratic voters wanted a change from Bush and Obama was able to play into that and parlay it into his being the guy who can bring a difference as opposed to an insider like Clinton. The Democratic base isn't clamouring as hard for "something else" to create a wave for Sanders to capitalize on. They want things to keep moving in the general direction that Obama has been moving them and there's no strong call for some sort of revolution.

Thirdly, there is no John Edwards in the race to split the "establishment" vote and and let an "outsider" candidate like Obama or Sanders come up the middle.

Lastly, the Democratic voters have a tremendous amount of respect for her and what she's done. The way that she put aside the friction with Obama from the primary campaign and worked diligently and competently as his Secretary of State was a major plus. They like the way she responded to her loss and it has become a major plus in her support and even most of her detractors are willing to support her because they feel that she has earned "her turn".

So, while it's true that her position in the primaries right now is almost identical to the position it was at this time in 2007, the factors which led to her losing her status as the inevitable nominee and finishing in second place do not exist this time around. If anything does come up, she's got a team to jump on it and squash it immediately and isn't going to get caught off guard by anything she didn't see coming once again.

Do you guys think that Sanders will be offered the Vice Presidency if Hillary is the nominee? Do you think he'd take the job?

I am so hoping that it's Bernie that ends up debating Trump, although even if it's Hillary, either way it would be entertaining. He's been treated with complete kid gloves by his other candidates, but once in a real debate his lack of knowledge will be evident to a deaf, dumb, blind mute being distracted by shiny objects.

I don't think so. I think she'll take the left wing vote for granted and only throw them as many crumbs as she has to and choose someone in the middle in order to present herself as a centrist candidate and further marginalize the GOP to try and pick up more downticket votes for the House and Senate.

I hate to say it, but he's too old for VP. The Dems have to find some younger leaders. We have to look to the future a little. There's no way Sanders will be a viable candidate in 8 years (assuming that Hillary wins).
